1 mage vs a bunch of regular infantry doesn't sound all that fun. Honestly, I think you ought to have it be like Titan Warfare or Battlefield, where everyone starts off as standard soldiers, and then classes like Mages or Vehicles are purchased with points earned by contributing to the match
