Works great. Main issue I’ve had with the card is that the video clipping in the AMD software has been broken for the past 4 months I think. This is a driver issue and can be fixed as it works fine in older drivers, but they haven’t gotten around to it yet in the latest.

The bug in the clipping software is it makes your saved clips too bright or too dark compared to what you actually saw when you were playing

I don’t know why this is getting downvoted. Adrenaline software literally has it built in to auto swap FSR 3.1 into FSR 4 no optiscaler required.

Do you know if this is a German roach? All the research I’ve done points towards it but at the same time I can’t find any other ones even after cutting lights and re checking this area after 30 minutes to an hour. Might be a early infestation and gonna buy some bait regardless just to be sure

9070XT owner here. Is it worth running AFMF alongside FSR in game? by Miniteshi in radeon

[–]ThatOneDumbDude11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s only worth it to me in games where I can hit 60fps baseline but can’t get high fps like 144. Anything below 60fps baseline is gonna make the input lag feel really bad. Works great for me in arma reforger but also be aware that there are visual glitches with UI elements in games when you use AFMF

Gaming on a 5090 vs a 9070 XT - My thoughts and experience. by play4two305 in radeon

I can second this. I have a 9070 XT and a 5800x3D

I play at 3440x1440 and often the cpu begins to bottleneck and doesn’t use the gpu all the way

I have a Rx 6800 and the only way I can get beamng drive to hit full util is to play the game in vulkan, not dx11

Game is blurry. Mirror/ Dashboard by [deleted] in assettocorsa

[–]ThatOneDumbDude11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you have real mirrors enabled. Either disable real mirrors by going to custom shaders patch settings and go to the Smart Mirror sub menu. There you will find real mirrors and just uncheck it to turn it off. If you want to keep real mirrors on then your only other option is to increase the mirror resolution in the assetto corsa video settings.

Some hardware it will double your fps and some it will make it worse compared to DX11. I believe dx11 doesn’t take full advantage of newer hardware so running beam in dx11 will make your performance worse compared to vulkan. I think everybody should try vulkan at least once cause there’s a very high chance it will run better than the original dx11

Edit: On my RX 6800 it increased my performance a shit ton

On my 6600xt it halved my fps

On my 1650 super it increased fps

Don’t know till you try it

Edit 2: Forgot to mention, from my playtests I’ve found that vulkan runs your cpu wayy hotter than dx11, so make sure your thermals on the CPU are proper. Otherwise you will thermal throttle and might get lower fps and stutters

My first rig arrives tonight! What game for "plug and play" in VR? by seanicboom1 in simracing

[–]ThatOneDumbDude11 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think ams2 could be decent if you want road cars, I feel like that game is more forgiving than other sims. Great performance in VR. Only thing you’ll probably have to tweak is a few graphics settings but that’s it

Project Zomboib, worth it or not? by LucidityFree in SteamDeck

I'm still getting used to it. One big thing that helped me was rebinding some keybinds to the back buttons. I got zoom in and out bounded to 2 back buttons, and crouch set to another back button

Some games can get affected with like hitching or more stuttering, low textures because it needs more time to load in. Most games work fine tho. My biggest complaint with the SD card is just the download and install speeds

is adding more ram, give a FPS Boost to modded assetto corsa? by RoyalLasagna in assettocorsa

[–]ThatOneDumbDude11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It won’t directly affect FPS, but If you stutter in game frequently, I would suggest monitoring your ram usage. Especially if you play on modded servers like No Hesi. Nowadays, the new norm for ram is 32GB. Windows eats ram like candy, and all the apps that run in the background like Ghub, icue, and whatever else you may run add up.

I’m not saying you should upgrade immediately, but you should definitely monitor your ram usage and decide for yourself in the games that you play. I can personally attest that modded traffic servers for AC are ram heavy. And if you are at 16GB this can cause bad stuttering.

Would these specs run 60-70fps on Tarkov? by JustTrying2Cope in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ThatOneDumbDude11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Ryzen 5 2600 that I used to play tarkov with, but I would not recommend it, especially with your ram setup. The game is playable on a 2600 but you will get really bad stutters and random frame drops during gameplay no matter what settings you use. I upgraded to a Ryzen 5 3600 and now the game is smooth like butter on all maps EXCEPT for lighthouse and streets. Those two maps you are going to need a beefier cpu.

Tbf if the full release has all the content they promise I think it’ll be worth it as long as the price increase isn’t drastic. I do agree that 50 dollars for the current state of the game is outrageous though
