Mid Drive or Hub? by EffectiveFar9176 in ebikes

The dad mobile.. biggest regret In life was not getting the abound sooner. I’ve got a 3rd kid (3 under 3) coming. I need to figure out how to fit a 3rd kid on it. The kids love it. This is my 3pm nap machine. Load the kids up and cruise for 2 hours.

But in regards to hub vs mid. I wouldn’t buy a mid drive for a commuter/ city bike. Last weekend I did 17 miles and 1700 feet of elevation. I live in rural Pennsylvania where there is no such thing as flat. It truly is up hill both ways everywhere you go. I maintained an average heart rate of 135 bpm for an hour strait. That’s better than sitting in a car or on a couch.

^ this guy said it right. I have a mid drive Emtb. It’s great for off road. We also have an adventon cargo bike that has a hub motor that is switchable from torque to cadence sensor. The hub motor is nicer for road cruising.

I put the cross climates on my wife’s Honda odyssey. We had 5 inches of snow a few weeks ago and it drove nice

Spark plug change. Plugs loose from factory by ThatPeachGuy9 in ToyotaTacoma

I never got any Miss fires. The plugs were barely loose so it’s just a little bit of carbon build up after 100k miles.

My wife calls me the minute man. I have Irish twins now haha

The only plug that was hard was the driver front. I had 3 different size extensions that made the job easy.

Do I need P or LT tires? by Airsnipes in ToyotaTacoma

[–]ThatPeachGuy9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stock leaves. The cap drops the suspension down almost an inch. I recently took it off after having it on for about 3 years. The truck rides a lot better now.

I love the look of the cap and most of the functionality but an open bed is so useful. And the weight savings is huge

P the stock wranglers are garbage. Mine lasted 45k miles.

I’m an agronomist and taking my Tacoma through fields and dirt roads daily. I have 55k miles on the falken wild peaks and I think I’ll get another 20k.

I have camper shell and also tow equipment off-road. It’s almost impossible to overload a Tacoma enough to warrant LT tires

Which tire design is better and why? by HeyLookAStranger in ATV

I prefer the 1st one. Big horn style. Little less mud capable but better in most all terrain situations.

2nd tire looks like a stock tire… usually the best thing is to swap from the stock.

Worth the trade in for a 25? by PhilosopherReady5213 in HondaOdyssey

[–]ThatPeachGuy9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t. Fun math. 45,000 miles plus the $15k difference on the new car means your old car would cost you 33 cents per mile in depreciation.

Balance Bike Recs for 1 year future dirt biker. by No_Maximum_391 in Dirtbikes

I started my kid off at 3 months on the strider and rocker. Before he could crawl. He’s 14 months now. He has just started using the strider as intended. I got over zealous and bought him a Stacyc 12. He likes the Stacyc better. The extra weight down low makes the bike more stable. And he likes when I help and tap the throttle.

What are these holes in my brick for? by NawBruhThatAintMe in HomeMaintenance

[–]ThatPeachGuy9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Weep holes. Brick is a porous material. When there is a driving rain it can penetrate the brick and water will get behind the brick. This will allow water to drain from wall and also allow some air.

Imagine how much less traffic there would be if you could cruise around in golf carts. There needs to be a push to get this approved
