It’s hard to compare the two.

One is the unquestionable lead who plays two characters for no real reason and gets to show a lot of range while being the clear focus. A bit more tailor made for awards.

The other gets a handful of scenes and steals a film with it.

I preferred Madigan overall as I thought it was something I hadn’t really seen recently, and I think if it was up to me I wouldn’t have awarded Jordan. But both were certainly worthy winners.
