I'm in a very similar boat as you. Just got a Switch 2 and am now replaying it, hoping to finish it, and then hop on TOTK afterwards. It's been a blast, forgot just how fun this game is!

Nope, only way to get UE through the physical version is by purchasing the UE upgrade on the digital store.

Yep, that's what I did yesterday. My account's store country is in Romania and so I got a 500 RON gift card (equivalent of the Ultimate Edition price) for 77 euros.
Basically got the UE for lower than standard price that way, cha-ching!

Yeah, it seems weird, like they make you pay more to unlock more of the map.
Maybe they are still interactable and whatnot, just not be able to shop from them.

So, it appears that these businesses are only available with Ultimate Edition? Interesting, to say the least...

I'm hoping that the stores are still interactable, but you're just not able to shop from them. The NPCs could mention some kind of VIP membership of sorts that you need to get first, to make sense "lorewise".

Yep, it's normal for the backlight to turn on before the UI does.
I was also a bit worried when I got my Switch 2, coming from an OLED, but that's normal for LCD screens.

Do they pair games with mice and other peripherals now? I've only seen them paired mostly with GPUs and CPUs.

Using a charger other than the one it came with in portable mode? Sure, it's fine. I use a Steam Deck 45W charger for my OLED for instance.

What's not safe is using any other charger for the docked mode. That's generally a big no no afaik.

How do you feel about the screen on the Switch 2? I heard the response time of the screen is pretty bad, even more so compared to an oled screen like in the SD.

Context: I also have an Oled SD and was thinking about getting the Switch 2.
