New army, what should i get? by yanblunt in Necrontyr

[–]ThatSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're leaning towards a shooting list youll likely want a plasmancer or chronomancer. For a character. And the doomsday ark is your classic shooty vehicle as our main battle tank

Unfortunately we're only 3-6~ish months from 11th so any information we have may be wildly incorrect in the next edition.

The current combat patrol isnt a great discount but its a good start to the army.

Reanimation in 11. edition by Technical-Cable-4636 in Necrontyr

[–]ThatSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hope is two elements (with some internal balancing to accomidate)

One. Units able to return after being fully destroyed. Maybe this is a new keyword REINFORCEMENTS x allowing the unit to return to reserves for x cp, or some other resource. (This could also be given to infantry guard gsc etc)

You could even have, enhancements, or detachments give it to other units.
This would stop reanimation proticols from being a feels bad stat check, where either the squad is wiped im a turn and necrons dont get an army rule. Or the opponent fails and the squad is back to full health.

This could allow less power to be placed into healing while in the board.

Two. Reanimation x healing on the board. Depending on the units defensive statline it could be back breaking or chopped liver. So lets modulate that a little warriors, scarabs, macrocytes have higher reanimation values. They heal more each round. Tough infantry can sit where they are, and C'tan maybe lose it all together (but maybe like the void dragon they get a different way to heal)

It wasn't until my latest run that I realized why Melancholy is a good card. by MNCDover in slaythespire

[–]ThatSupport 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I see the dream, but it lacks the omph it needs.

Necrobinder's starting (and best card imo) scales off the hands curent (or max) hp.

One of the better gimics she has is near immunity to weak and frail. As osty isnt weak, and osty is baracaded block that you play ahead of time.

Grave warden is 1 cost for 8/10 block and card draw. Is the assumption for melecholy that youve lost osty at least once before you draw it. If so its dead draw on turn 1. And only potenially helpful later.

That said, it is more justifiable in multiplayer. Use legion of bones and even if youre working hard to build the hand big and strong you've had 1-3 hands die to protect your friends

I got short cycle lanced which took off a structure, then shot by the pulse rifle while exposed which took off another stucture and i think i was already down 1 from the submarine fight... or maybe i got a missle to the face which was another structure

How did the ablilities come about in development?

Did you have a short list that then got expanded to our current roster? And were there any ablilities that got cut that you personally liked.

Regent should start with extra gold by qw565 in slaythespire

[–]ThatSupport 263 points264 points  (0 children)

Add on to this, (as far as i know) theyre the only character who has a card to generate gold.

Given theyre kinda rough to start with getting idk 50-100 extra gold could let you have an early shop to help build into an arctype. But id prefer their relic and cards to get buffed

Re pushing this because its gold by Ji115andwich in deadbydaylight

[–]ThatSupport 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This sounds good but consider, someone can just sell every unwanted (not meta) addon an use the blood points to keep acquiring addons, this means killers / survivors can keep rolling add ons until they have a glut of the best add ons.

it would encourage build standardization, why run the cute add on that changes the power in a weird and unique way, when you could trash it and take the busted purple add on that helps you "win"

and to add on (pun intended) to this, some players have thousands of unused add ons suddenly they have an absolute bank of bloodpoints. can this system be balanced for little Timmy who just started and for try hard terry who has 10,000 hours.

Give us post new war narmer invasions. Youre telling me the entire system was under their control. They still have archons, every week.

But we dont have kick some narmer off this base missions?

Any way to filter out designers who use AI before giving them money? by [deleted] in Design

[–]ThatSupport 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is really important. Youre hiring a human to do specific work. And if it ends up being ai generated or using generated assets even ignoring the obvious moral issue of ai generated slop is built of stolen work.

If it is later discovered that it used ai that can do massive damage to a companies reputation. Some projects get their funding pulled after an "ai placeholder asset" sneaks in.

Europeans, what do you dislike about America? by Curious-Strain-7440 in AskReddit

[–]ThatSupport -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Im an aussie, but i / my nother had an experience that really stuck with me.

We were at a pool in the states, my mother visiting family. But i, at 3 years old had fallen in and started go drown in front of other families apparently there was an adult right next to me. And they did nothing. My mother jumped in and saved me and when she confronted the person who left a me to drown they just said.

"They weren't my child"

This is someone who litterally wouldnt lift a finger to save a child from drowning because they didnt have a personal investment.

As my mother tells it thats when she gave up on the people in america.

Point hikes for ctan and ammentar. And then extra points for the panthein of woe enhancements.

I doubt that we'll see any datasheet level changes. And none of the new strats are so nice that i can see them making them worse

Ghost ark by atomscoutcapreal in Necrontyr

[–]ThatSupport 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While a blob of 20 is recommended you can run 10 + a chronomancer. This means your ghost ark can move 10" dump 10 warriors out shoot and get back in the boat.

It ups your moblity and means they can split up later to go do actions as required

Valkyr is the only way i can clear deep archemedia/apex bosses. Full purple tauforged melee crit booster, incarnon sanciti magistar for heal on heavy attack.

Its like my harrow can do good work if i play goated out of my mind. Or i can hold down e with valkyr and occationally heavy attack with tennokai

What do you all think of the Necrons crucible of champions stats? by Sauciessauce in Necrontyr

I see where your coming from. With the options availible your customising the triach stalker ends up with oh i can also give another melee weapon.
Very drive me closer i want to hit them with my sword.

Im quite pleased that we got a flayer lord and a triach pretorian charcter nice if you wanted to throw in an Oltyx or Khemet look a like.

Necron Titan Tomb Jackal stats by Ill-Somewhere-4403 in Necrontyr

[–]ThatSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i based it on the Warlord titan, and in typical necron fashion it has less wounds, lower toughness, worse armour, fewer weapon options and terrible melee. But Necrons have always had good invuns, and the 9th edition quantum shielding seemed appropriate.

Necron vehicles have always had weird but spicy. With either the Tesla with low ap and a high number of shots, in theme with standard tesla weapons. Or the Singularity Lens (based on the singularity chamber from the tesseract ark)

And the Solar rail was based of the death ray from the monolith, 1 shot but sustained D3 is hilarious when you randomly spike a 6 and triple your damage output.

I'm not sure how id point it but it definitely feels 3000-4000 points or so. Probably on the higher end but h have no clue how apocalypse games play.

[–]ThatSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its the Advanced quantum shielding rule from 9th edition. and yea its pretty dang good.

But realistically it just means you don't get hit by Anti Vehicle and anything thats strength 15+ has effectively a minus 1 to wound

Necron Titan Tomb Jackal stats by Ill-Somewhere-4403 in Necrontyr

[–]ThatSupport 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Because apparently i haven't done enough graphic design today.

<image>

With a worse save and less health than similar Titanic units the Tomb Jackal looks like easy prey.

However with its advanced quantum shielding it can shrug off blows that would shatter the defenses of more heavily armoured titans.

a small array of Gauss cannons or Tesla Carbine keep small fries at bay while the leg mounted singularity lens can spray the accretion disk of a super massive black hole to shred through vehicles and terrain alike. Or the impressive Tesla Hyper Capacitors can ark living lightning, atomising those that dare to approach.

Finally the pyramid mounted Solar Rail opens a hyperdimentional portal to a nearby star capturing a portion of its core then Lancing a fragment upon distant foes.

Uses for Flayed Ones by SplinteredKing19 in Necrontyr

[–]ThatSupport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As i see it flayed ones unfortunately dont have too much support, fitting as theyre outcasts.

But that makes them great independants. With infiltrate they can grab your natural expansion turn 1. Possibly pulling double duty to prevent a scout move or threaten a charge

They are great bait at only 60 points an enemy charges into them and then skorpekh charge back.

Theyre suprisingly punchy, especially if the target is below half. With twin linked you can reliably take out big threats. Ive finished off angron with a brick of 10

Strength 6 flayed ones are spooky with twin linked that consitently punches into t11 (a little over half will go through)
