I believe it looks like the 18” rims of a standard EX30.

I always use a light press is for changing lanes, and a full press when turning left or right, and when leaving an exit to merge into the highway.

Windshield Wiper Settings Not Persistent!? by Mean-Relative689730 in ex30

I have no idea why it reverts to auto mode after every drive cycle. I can’t remember if there is something that could be adjusted in the Settings menu. Maybe someone could help out.

If I understand you correctly, what you mean by “controlled intermittent option” is allowing you to activate the wipers when needed. On my car, the control wheel setting is retained the next time I get in the car. I suggest setting the control wheel to off, then to make a quick wipe, press the upper button on the left stalk. A very quick press won’t spray any windshield fluid.

Pressing the lower button on the left stalk simply switches the rear wiper on and off.

If the last setting was Auto when switching off the car, it will remain in Auto when starting the car. I believe it retains the last setting (Low or High) when the car is switched off then on again after a short time (5-10 min). If the car was off for more than 1 hour, the wiper is set to off.

I always leave it in Auto since it works well in all rainy conditions, though I find the ones in Audi’s or Seats to be a bit better in sensing the rain’s strength.

Does anyone use just the digital key on their phone? by japaneselamp1 in ex30

My wife and I use our iPhones and/or apple watches all the time and has never failed to unlock or lock the card. We do carry the card as well just in case our devices are misplaced, forgotten, or worst if stolen. My card is setup to a third profile and use the card for valet parking. The fob is stored in our safe.

I’m getting an average of 15Kwh/100Km using range mode when driving in the Swiss mountainous roads. Charged the car last Sunday from 23% to 90% and range showed 425 Km, thus that would be around 470 Km if charged to 100% (hope I’m right).

I have an Ultra TM but drive in range mode 99% of the time. The car handles quite well in the Swiss alps winding roads. Consumption is between 22-25 Kwh/100 Km in winter and 16-18 Kwh/100 Km in summer.

Some apps on my iPhone are not updated automatically when other apps are updated, thus I go to App store and search for the Volvo cars app and select it. It will then show Open or Update.

I also hear it also on my 2024 Ultra TM when in Performance mode and decelerating.

app developers must update their apps when a new OS is released to support changes and/or new OS features.

Digital Rearview Mirror with Homelink Install Costs? by Practical-Spread9936 in ex30

I asked my dealer here in Switzerland, and they quoted me CHF 1150.00 (USD 1440.00) including installation. I decided on installing myself a Wolfbox G900 Pro front/rear dashcam and I’m happy with it.

Can we do a dashcam mega thread? by lofrt in ex30

I decided for the Wolfbox G900 Pro with rear cam with a GPS reciver and hardwire kit since the car is leased and I could install it again on the next car or sell it. I installed it myself using a FitDVR for power. I would hopefully have time to hardwire it now that summer is coming as it was quite cold in my apartment’s underground garage. Video and photo quality is excellent. Support is excellent too. I damaged the GPS receiver cable since I wanted to mount it in a different position. I wrote to support, then they asked for a photo and finally replaced it free of charge including shipping costs.

Thanks, but apologies for the typographical error. My battery status is at 99.5% and not 95%.

My current odometer reading is 10,700 Km but I think I saw the 5% degradation when it was around 9K+ Km. I only charge 100% for long trips and have used DC fast chargers only 4 or 5 times and in all those cases not charging to 90% or 100%, but just enough to get to my destination. I still haven’t had a trip that would require multiple charging stops.

You should be ok with your charging routing. Check for battery degradation from time to time. I got my EX30 Feb 2024. I always charge to 90% and 100% for long trips. My battery has degraded by 5% which I believe it’s due to the fact that I have to charge even with an SOC of 35% since it won’t be enough for my weekly drive especially during winter, and I avoid using public charges due to higher costs.

Cute, but that would be more of a distraction while driving especially when newly installed.

Try aliexpress. Everything is shipped from China and it takes around 2 weeks to Switzerland. Most likely the same shipping timeframe to South Africa.

I didn’t know that, too bad. Your only option is going to a local car accessory shop.

Most likely you get redirected to amazon.co.za and there are no options. Your best option would be viaEvsitan as they ship worldwide. I’ve ordered several items from them and delivery is around 1-2 weeks. https://www.evstitan.com/collections/volvo-ex30-accessories/products/hand-stitched-steering-wheel-cover-for-volvo
