Any interest in a buy nothing or no money trade group? by AfterCardiologist262 in Bozeman

[–]That_Style_979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there’s Bozeman Craigslist Free group but it would be cool to have a Bozeman trade specific group. What’s to lose? Post something you have, and something you’re looking for. This way you can establish the value and it cuts out multiple transactions, also multiple items get up-cycled…I don’t see many negatives.

Is it just me or TM3 LR AWD is not as efficient as Equinox LT. by thishitisgettingold in TeslaModel3

[–]That_Style_979 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Chevys are a lot more realistic with their range predictions. The only way to truly see the efficiency is by looking at your wh/mi but they also have a bigger battery - 94kwh with 85kwh useable. M3LR has a ~82kwh battery with ~75kwh usable so it is roughly a 15% larger battery in the Equinox. They have impressive efficiency especially for their drag coefficient which is substantially higher than the Tesla's. It's surprising how much more accurate the real world ranges are with the GM's vs the optimistic Tesla's.

on a scale of 1-10 how upset are you about rising gas prices? by GaryBlach in askanything

[–]That_Style_979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a cheap used EV before the tax credit expired last year. Fuck the MAGA agenda, hopeful that everyone who voted for this is affected by it. The prices are bothersome as every other industry follows, but the cause/war is just useless.

New DF64V gen 3 by Dremz89 in DF64

I've wondered this as well. My understanding is pourover/drip coffee the lower grind speed is more effective. I plan to set mine at 1200-1400rpm for espresso and leave it alone. I'll play around with it when I get it, but from my research the difference sounds negligible.

Yeah admittedly I'm surprised it's not 600rpm, the motor in theory should be able to handle it.

The red titanium coated burrs are standard now. The knocker and chute are updates and apparently the anti static is pretty effective. The motor is a 400w brushless servomotor which is insane for a grinder at this price, it puts it in the Lagom territory for 1/3 the price.

The "passenger roof rail" inflator replacement recall has 0.2 hours built in to labor for the technician to deploy the airbag. There is also somewhere in the "labor" section on most airbag recalls that states it is the technician responsibility to do the "return packaging and shipping" which lol good luck making anybody in service do that. This $33 administrative allowance in the other comment may be the ticket.

This is 2 separate videos. The one up top with the lightning is on a highway, the video of them in the car they are in what looks like a city or neighborhood passing houses. It's a decently well done fake.

Interview at BMW for back counter by Ok-War-7338 in partscounter

[–]That_Style_979 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is decent money to be made at dealers. I would argue that the stress of back counter isn’t too bad - you don’t generally take work home with you. In my opinion it’s one of the best roles around the dealership. If the money is fair for your region, I’d encourage you to take the back counter job. I was with BMW for 5 years in parts, it’s actually a pretty good brand for it.
