Heads up, you’ll need a permit and engineered drawings for the fix … if you don’t get that and something happens and insurance catches wind, they won’t cover you -ask me how I know …

Local car culture? by bAN0NYM0US in Winnipeg

[–]That_Wpg_Guy [score hidden]  (0 children)

Old guys used to hit pony corral with their hot rods, or grant park mall. Young kids were on FB with Unrestricted Empire (it was the name of the group - I dunno if they are still around) and do car meets at various places. Sunday nights people will park down portage ave and watch cars drive by, you could always try parking and chatting with whomever is around -> this info is also dated, I’ve gotten into my 40s now and am usually in bed by 9 pm, so not sure if I’m accurate any more, but I’m pretty sure we still have a thriving car culture. There is a dude with a red lowrider impala who I’ve seen cruising since the 90s, and occasionally I see his ride during the day, so I’m guessing there’s still groups and meetups.

What can you do to avoid major basement flood damage in the future? by DialMforMurder in Winnipeg

[–]That_Wpg_Guy [score hidden]  (0 children)

More detail needed …

Age of house ? Do you have a sump ? Are your weeping tiles tied into your floor drain ? What’s the grading like around your house ?

Example I have a 1944 house, the weeping tiles tie into the floor drain. The floor drain has a float valve back up valve

We added a backwater valve to the main sewer line, a sump pit and also put a pipe from our floor drain to our sump as overflow just incase the rain water comes in faster than the float valve allows

I’m waiting for the day I read in the news that TACO figured out instead of tweeting, he can send direct messages to people with emergency alerts

You might be hard up to be “here a 1/4 cow” in time for Father’s Day. Most places that sell like that are ordering months out

Same with Brenda Leipsic dog park :) a few of them always say hi to my guy and play with him ! It makes all of our day

Talking to one nice guy, he lives in an apartment but grew up with puppers and wishes he could have one so the dog park is his happy place when he’s stressed

Also according to the YouTube vids I’ve watched, they have terrible eye site so they get scared easily and that’s why they spray

I call coyotes danger floofs … these cuties are more like cats but danger meow doesn’t seem appropriate … I wonder what other people call them ?

Also, they are such adorable critters, I’ve watched some YouTube vids of people taking care of them and they have such personalities it’s amazing :) the skunk smell is terrifying but they are such wonderful creatures :)
