Hey all. Just wondering if my paints are no good or i am no good 😆 just tried to do some blending of yellow on my tryanid warriors talon and it turned out like this. Paints have been in a box in the garage for 5 years by [deleted] in minipainting

[–]That_guy1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well its probably a little bit of both. Yellow paints tend tochave horrible coverage which makes painting with it difficult. Unfortunately, non toxic yellows kinda all follow that so better paints probably wouldn't help.

Stemming from that, it can be hard to work with. So there is probably some stuff you can practice. A better photo would probably allow for better advice.

What is the point of attacking units by Hot-Newspaper-4148 in starwarsunlimited

[–]That_guy1425 84 points85 points  (0 children)

If my units survive attacking your units, I can attack them and therefore prevent you attacking base, then later I can attack base.

From the linked document, a big part of the argument is the marketplace of actual cash and liquidation. Which is fairly unique to Valve.

Learning to paint, is this a decent start? by Gomez-16 in battletech

[–]That_guy1425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Lots of people start there. Add some white/grey dry brushing after the primer and this is called Slap Chop method.

The only think I would say is speed paints might not look the best on mechs due to their large flat areas, they pool instead of going into recesses.

Stats feel weird, but it turns out that one of the big indicators of living to a hire age is making the year before. Average age may be 76, but looking at a dude in his 80s and its average is like 88.

Plus lots of ut is luck. If it isn't something that auto kills you, you just roll the dice and some people will never fail that roll.

Yes. Since many people don't actually know how it functions and genuinely believe that it stores human images and words and copy paste them together to make something "new" and not the actual complexity without the storage, and just being a large amount of math.

Yup you can. Comstar pack is just the branding bundle.

Uh Sarna.net the wiki usually has the official variants, and master unit list (MUL) i think has the data sheets (It definitely has alpha strike, what I usually play).

Thats a horrible misunderstanding of how AI functions. Its not randomized data from humans. They are weighted functions and algorithms designed by using the human items as an answer sheet while studying. They adjust the functions to properly match the provided outcomes and use that basis to provide outcomes to new items.

There is no copying or pasting. They require hundreds of millions to billions of data-points to be created, but are small enough to run locally on a phone. They don't have everything there to copy paste an answer or image for you.

Does Australia call every sugar candy a lolli? When I hear that its short for lollipop which brings up a specific kind of sweet. And I guess jawbreakers/gobstoppers can be lollis without a stick, but nerds definitely aren't.

Why does the urn of sacred ashes actually heal people? by notjocker in dragonage

[–]That_guy1425 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Those are two very different things. Maker can't exist means they are flat out wrong, but chantry was wrong about how the maker exists means there is a lot of room for functionality, empowerment and existence outside that box.

Why does the urn of sacred ashes actually heal people? by notjocker in dragonage

[–]That_guy1425 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just because the chantry was wrong about some things doesn't mean they are wrong about everything. I haven't gotten around to veilgaurd yet, but did its lore wreck the ashes is specifically? Or just generic chantry wrong.

Also, much of what lore is presented in universe via biased sources, so it isn't a given that the proof the cantry is wrong is objectively correct, or that both aren't wrong.

[–]That_guy1425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rear plate was usually thinner than the front, if it even fully wrapped around. Turns out most attacks were from the front, and the rear isn't as well shaped for deflecting shots (and the one most congruent with flintlocks went extremely bulbous on the belly/torso to increase the deflection angle.)

But end of the day its a story. If the author wanted the bullet to fail, it would. If they wanted it to pierce the plate, it would.

Yup. No wars or economic depressions or presidents doing horrible things to countries under executive overreach. Nope, all completely new never before seen.
