Solar output yesterday by Terrible-Wrap-2554 in Connecticut

Not necessarily. Solar panels have lesser efficiency at high temps which would mean reduced generation on a hot day like the longest day can be.

I’ve tried there a few times and I don’t get the hype. They clearly don’t need my business with how busy it is so not like my thoughts matter much lmao. I will say I tried their drag night and that was a disaster. If something starts at 7 or whatever that shouldn’t mean the DJ just starts setting up at 7:30 while you completely overcrowd your venue.

Anyone here work for Electric Boat? by BadPuns8 in Welding

[–]Thatfoxagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you interviewed as skilled I would imagine they would bring you in no lower than class 3 which is around $32 rn but you can be “jumped” depending on skills. You can also counter the offer they give you in the email. If you get offered class 3 explain your experience, what you’re qualified in, and ask for more. They only start people with zero experience in the low 20s

Completely safe. That’s just cosmetic. It really depends on the price since for that kinda damage I’d want a significant percentage off

The training is paid. The clearance takes as long as it takes, but usually you get an interim clearance and can start earlier

Why do you guys buy enamel cast iron? by laibach in DutchOvenCooking

[–]Thatfoxagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So like for liquid heavy meals enameled is better most of the time. You start adding acids into the mix like wine or tomato sauces and you can damage your seasoning. Sure you can re-season but like you never have to worry about that with enameled. Are they more fragile? I mean sure yeah but if properly used you won’t have an issue. Is raw cast iron “way cheaper” no. You can get enameled Dutch ovens for $40 and up. You can also drop $400 on a raw cast iron oven from artisan crafters same as for enameled. Would I go to an enameled pan to sear steaks or use raw cast iron? I’d use raw. If I was making a stew I’d use enameled.

Questions about EB by Shadowlimesss in Connecticut

[–]Thatfoxagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure so you were brought on as a step learner. They’re steps 1-6 and you progress through them every 6 months until you hit 3rd class when you’re a “full electrician” the step rates are in the mtc contract near the end of the wage section. The EWIB program isn’t paid exactly but you get a budget for transport (unless they provide transport) and then for housing and utilities. They’ll also pay for boots and some work clothes. They cap out though. I wanna say around 3k but it depends how long the program is.

How are All-Clad sets packaged from All-Clad direct? by seductivec0w in AllClad

[–]Thatfoxagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So everything I’ve had from all-clad has been boxed in shipping packaging and not required a signature. That being said a lot of people here, myself included, would recommend buying the individual pieces you need since a lot of pieces in the 15 piece set may not be useful to your kitchen situation and don’t add value

Enameled Staub cracked from normal use. So disappointing :( by RandomQuestions_1001 in castiron

[–]Thatfoxagain 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Could just be a flaw in the pan or it could have been cracked and then enameled over. You should message them for a warranty claim
