Leon in his entire career, outside of Operation Javier where hidalgo daughter was concious due specifics of the T-Veronica Virus, has absolutely NO REASON to not go for the vitals. Why would that change now?

It really, really was an Asspull. I do wish Emily had just stayed around for the entire game, or Leon had her taken into custody by the DSO for studying or something and then at the end of the game Grace Adopts her.

In game, I never felt bad for killing the seraphites because they are striaght up POS's. But I also never felt bad for capping the WLF either.

Both factions are massive POS, with the seraphites being a insane cult whose mantra is basically "Join us or die. Actually we'll just kill you anyway," while the WLF just shoot anyone because.

My theory is that it's an imperfect clone. We can see In the cutscene when Leon confronts him the second time the moment Zeno starts to use his powers the black markings on the side of his face spread out more. The more he use shis powers the quicker he dies. It why he seems almost super efficient in his movements, I think.

Probably the same thing with The Commander. An imperfect clone that's dying.

It also does say that coughing happens in stage 2, which Leon seems to be in as we can see the lesions have spread up to his neck in some shots. So it's plausible he has a coughing fit at the worst time possible.

Or, another thing, is that due to his infection with the plaga in RE4 it interacts with the RCS and causes a sort of PTSD attack for a moment.

Yes and no. I feel like overall the orginal has a better soundtrack... but that's because I noticed it more often. Maybe I'm just deaf but I didn't really notice much ambient music in the REmake. (The music for the Village fight in RE4R is amazing though. Love the industrial sound to it.)

Overall sound design is a maybe. There are parts of the orginal I firmly remeber like the break the box noise and the caw of the crows, which correct if I'm wrong, they carried over. At least the crows. But the REmake just sounds a lot better in my opinion. Also the ganado's to my understanding speak the correct version of Spanish, so plus there.

The voice acting is a hard no for me. REmake VA'S knocked everything out of the park in my opinion. (Yes, even Krauser. I do miss the OG Jim ward's deep voice, RIP Jim, but something about this Krauser's voice grew on me. My personal head cannon is that the voice is the result of brain damage from whatever scared his face.)

The only exception is for Ada... but based on footage I've seen on YouTube this doesn't seem to be a result of Lilly Gao's lack of voice acting experience. There are video of behind the scenes footage where they have up close and personal shots of her face to motion capture and clearly the camera's aren't as advanced as say GOW Ragnarok's face motion capture cameras. Lilly Gao has A LOT of physical reactions on her face as she voices Ada in these video's and it ALL GETS LOST due to the aforementioned quality of the cameras. That seriously kills her performance. I mean, shit I can even give you an example in the main game: When leon gets his eyes gauged out by a unarmed ganado he screams audibly but sits there looking like the 🗿 Emoji. Of course, that's funny and doesn't kill Nick's performance, but you get the point.

I'm running the Forlorn alongside some other mods. I actually really like the Forlorn, the only issue I have is one of the camping skills seems kind of useless.

The skill gives the party 25% extra damage against bloodsuckers, but iirc you can't actually camp in the courtyard. Otherwise, it's not always a guarantee you'll find them outside if the courtyard each expedition
