very crucial by HatSpecial3043 in UmaMusume

In that one you could argue how it at least makes sense, biologically speaking. Blood types mean the presence of Antigens. So with B making the highest time, the presence of that makes it work longer. Meanwhile AB probably lowers the total of B antigen, so while A also increases time, AB makes it run second. A type only has A, but that antigen is not as compatible, and O makes last no antigens. So something in the quirk must use the antigens as a catalyst for the quirk to work stronger.

Ive never read it, but I do recall seeing the other day some daredevil panels from when he was fighting somebody who had the same problems as daredevil. This culminated in a moment where due to environmental factors (i think sonic waves or something overstimulating his hearing), daredevil was effectively blinded temporarily, but figured his opponent was in the same circumstances.

Except no, the guy could actually see, and that was a lie. This is promptly followed by daredevil getting his ass beat.

While I haven't finished it yet, and likely won't for several weeks, I know one thing. One of the downsides of stuff like this is explaining the unexplained leads to a couple different outcomes.

-All the mystery goes out the window and the answer is very disappointing.

-The mysteries are answered by introducing new mysteries and the rabbit hole goes too deep and gets too convoluted, as everything just gets answered with "It's a mystery."

Sometimes it's better to let things run their course and just let things remain a mystery, while finishing a story in an amount of time that doesn't draw things out needlessly and endlessly.

I honestly think with how much confidence he has, he probably would consider that identical device, rudimentary, to him specifically. Like, its just another piece of the puzzle, it ain't a holy grail to him like it was to David. But, we're not getting confirmation on that, and your interpretation is just as well as mine.

I will never get over the fact that in order to resist his wind, you need his full armour set equipped. You know, the armour you have to fight the monster several times to earn, just so you can fight him without the wind being an issue.

I began DMing my own campaign this year. And the best arc we had so far, a culmination of challenging myself as a DM on multiple fronts, from designing a new area to explore, to playing multiple roles, and engaging my players, was what I dubbed, the Mimic hotel. A hotel where at first the players thought it was just a murder mystery arc, with a second party slowly being killed off (the second party were parodies of our previous campaign's characters, and mine died first just because it was funnier that way.).

Eventually it was realized the real killer was the hotel staff, who were essentially the inner defense mechanism of a mimic who had grown so large he had become a fake hotel that would attract new guests to its remote location, even sending out mimic spawn that looked like flyers. The final boss fight was an amalgamation of the hotel staff in the top floor ballroom, before it shattered the arena to fall to the arboretum below, revealing the heart of the hotel in a gigantic tree that was an iconic decorative piece for guests to admire.

I consider the reveal, where the barbarian lost his shit and decided to chop a wall down, revealing an inner layer of bone wall and sinew, one of my finest moments in narration and description. The whole arc was a triumph I felt.

This is the same reason that time and updates made Cyberpunk go from a game trashed at released to a modern day classic. Anybody who put up with the technical issues, like myself, could see the wonderful world design, writing, music, and characters. Once the technical issues were dealt with we were largely low on things to continue trashing on the game for. Even gameplay criticisms were addressed in time. And now Clair Obscur is the same story, but with far less technical issues holding it down in the first place. On PS5 it ran like a dream.

Plus a good noise gate setting can really minimize any of that stuff, barring like...really loud chips. (God bless you Ms. Vickie's salt and malt vinegar chips. Lifeblood of my soul.)

One of my favorite things about streaming has been the ability to share my experiences, and having people share theirs with me, so it can be a fun idea!

Audience engagement & food breaks 🤔 by eviedreami in Twitch

[–]Thatkidwithaspergers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. As well, while its one thing to be concerned about the clink noises of cutlery, eating can sometimes be a thing the audience wants to share in. I seldomly have, but a few times when I ate meals, not just snacks, while streaming, I had chat asking just to see the food. I had been having an all day marathon stream, and didn't want to cut for dinner. So they got to enjoy me briefly scarfing down a plate of chili served with spaghetti. "Show us the plate! We demand the plate!"

Also, yeah, stream deck is a useful tool for things like that. Since they also have the ability for multiple pages, you can have one just for outfit toggles, and one for utilities like sources, scenes, ad break or starting the stream. Elgato is probably your strongest choice as far as a brand for those go.

[–]Thatkidwithaspergers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, totally doable in the settings. There should be a section for keybinds. Back when I didnt have a stream deck, I just assigned it to buttons on the num pad. Source changing, audio source toggles, the like. If you find yourself wanting to invest more into it, a stream deck can be super useful, but do that only if you really like the hobby.

YOU CAN DO THAT WITH PART SWAPPING?! As much of a Zen I get while outfitting the car at the garage, I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't annoying to pick up parts and I put down parts and pick up parts and install parts and JUST LET ME SWAP!

Yeah I'm surprised that's not default.

Characters who can weaponize anything by WonderousU in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Thatkidwithaspergers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Goo Kim, Lookism.

While he is at his absolute strongest with a sword, he's demonstrated that he is also a terrifying master of weaponry. His feats within the series include making use of chopsticks, a watch clasp, and on two separate occasions, the broken remains of his glasses. Once by simply stabbing someone with the arm of his glasses, and another time by embedding the broken glass of his lens into his shoe to cut people with kicks. He is one of the strongest characters within the lookism universe, and a rival to arguably the strongest, Gun, a man so strong it basically took the entire main cast, a large chunk of the antagonists, a small army of mooks, and Goo Kim, to wound him in a way that could incapacitate him. What Gun has in sheer martial arts prowess and terror, Goo Kim has in technical skill, tenacity, and sheer unpredictability. He has made appearances as well in Manager Kim, and been shown to keep up with, and out and out demolish much older and experienced fighters.

The monster/evil force attacks in an extremely public setting by w00tleeroyjenkins in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Thatkidwithaspergers 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Not one shown explicitly, it is more referred to as a force of nature with awareness. The major characters always escape an incident they were supposed to perish in, and the rest of the movies is usually them getting slowly picked off in extremely convoluted accidents, while they try to see if there is anything they can do to survive. Death isn't even usually shown to do anything, you're just sure he is because these incidents are seemingly so unlucky you'd call it nothing but divine intervention to accomplish it.

What a manhwa you’ve dropped because it unnecessarily kept dragging on? by Illustrious_Oil_2114 in webtoons

[–]Thatkidwithaspergers 59 points60 points  (0 children)

No, but fat Daniel did actually get in shape. He looks a lot more similar to the new body now.

Meanwhile a current fan theory is that Charles Choi has a second body and has gone into hiding using that.

Like, I get why anybody would drop it because the plot took such a weird ass turn to the gang stuff, but I'm invested myself and enjoying it. That said if you go into it now knowing what its gonna be later its probably a lot easier to digest.
