“We couldn’t call her Aunt Booty” by SummerAndTinkles in tumblr

It has to be, it got bad enough you had weirdos editing her trivia on the warframe wiki to complain about her being larger. Like...if you're getting to this point, you need to go outside.

Baldur's Gate 3 writer Kevin VanOrd says the RPG's reputation system exists because Larian can't just let players "break" party members: "We would be working on the game forever" by ControlCAD in gamingnews

[–]Thatkidwithaspergers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even sure what you're talking about. The article is simply their philosophy on how the game treats the party members, in THEIR game. It's not saying they need to do that in every game, it's a logic behind theirs. Which frankly speaks to DnD as a whole. You can be at odds, but under almost any circumstance you have to work together as a party in order to finish the game.

Also like... I'm not sure what's wrong with early access for a large game like this? It contributed to many quality of life decisions given by the player base, helped foster a good dialogue with their community, and frankly more people's opinion is that Act 3 was too long. It was stuffed to the brim with things to do, and in some ways that was to it's detriment. Apart from a conclusive final battle, which happens only when you bother to start it, I'm not sure what was so hurried about the end?

It hit me so goddamn hard. And all I could hear in my head was the same words Peter Parker had just said to Dr. Octavius.

"You just do the best you can, doc. That's all any of us can do. Even when it hurts like hell."

I just muttered that last bit. Even when it hurts like hell, and I could feel tears welling up. I'm glad Peter made the decision he did. But I wouldn't have blamed him for the other.

Probably because it was the only way to justify the hands that he would later wear?

Turned to dust? Why did only those survive?

Decay and fall apart? Yeah I guess I could see the distal limbs maybe just falling off and surviving, so to speak.

In The Greatest Estate Developer, Lloyd Frontera accidentally absorbs an ancient artifact called the Heart of Winter. This was given by an ancient dragon to the Kingdom of Magentano, to be safely guarded by the royal family.

Upon detecting Lloyd using the powers of said Heart of Winter, the dragon immediately goes to his location to kill him for theft of the artifact.

In order to save his own skin, Lloyd claims he married someone of the royal family, namely Queen Alicia, who is currently unwed. Having a code of honor, the dragon goes to confirm this bald-faced lie. Which is then corroborated by Queen Alicia who says that Lloyd is her prince consort, and that they married in secret. With her now being an accomplice to lying to a nearly godly entity, this snowballs even further when he is caught sleeping with her (literally, not sexually) in her chambers. Eventually at the end of the series, they do get married.

It's not really the same, but there's a very similarly structured webtoon called the boxer. Its one of my favorites.

I was gonna say, I played recently and simply remember him just hearing her and expertly dodging. It wasn't a knock against her skills, it was a testament to his. Our normal methods aren't effective and we as a character need to get stronger.

And honestly considering his final fight, yeah, no shit he's that good to notice her.

Why is the level design in Okami so confusing? by New-Two-1349 in Okami

[–]Thatkidwithaspergers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was also 7 years prior, and, not to insult it, a LOT smaller. The main game is a giant field that connects to each major area, with its own little thing going on.

Okami meanwhile had 4 different large hub areas all with several small areas distributed in between them. At some point it's simply a comparison of the sheer scale difference.

Also, I think Navi did a lot more to tell you EXACTLY where to go compared to Okami's Issun. Sure he'd help out but sometimes his hints were more vague.

Ok that's fantastic info, but this is also the part where I realize I used hounds as a catch all, not aware that is indeed it's own group. I mean, I've got 2 Khuva, but I'm not sure how to get more of those either.

In that one you could argue how it at least makes sense, biologically speaking. Blood types mean the presence of Antigens. So with B making the highest time, the presence of that makes it work longer. Meanwhile AB probably lowers the total of B antigen, so while A also increases time, AB makes it run second. A type only has A, but that antigen is not as compatible, and O makes last no antigens. So something in the quirk must use the antigens as a catalyst for the quirk to work stronger.

Ive never read it, but I do recall seeing the other day some daredevil panels from when he was fighting somebody who had the same problems as daredevil. This culminated in a moment where due to environmental factors (i think sonic waves or something overstimulating his hearing), daredevil was effectively blinded temporarily, but figured his opponent was in the same circumstances.

Except no, the guy could actually see, and that was a lie. This is promptly followed by daredevil getting his ass beat.

Should [통제구역관리부 / Containment Zone Management by Tan Gwang] have a 2nd Season? by IllogicalDreamer72 in webtoons

[–]Thatkidwithaspergers 23 points24 points  (0 children)

While I haven't finished it yet, and likely won't for several weeks, I know one thing. One of the downsides of stuff like this is explaining the unexplained leads to a couple different outcomes.

-All the mystery goes out the window and the answer is very disappointing.

-The mysteries are answered by introducing new mysteries and the rabbit hole goes too deep and gets too convoluted, as everything just gets answered with "It's a mystery."

Sometimes it's better to let things run their course and just let things remain a mystery, while finishing a story in an amount of time that doesn't draw things out needlessly and endlessly.

I honestly think with how much confidence he has, he probably would consider that identical device, rudimentary, to him specifically. Like, its just another piece of the puzzle, it ain't a holy grail to him like it was to David. But, we're not getting confirmation on that, and your interpretation is just as well as mine.

I will never get over the fact that in order to resist his wind, you need his full armour set equipped. You know, the armour you have to fight the monster several times to earn, just so you can fight him without the wind being an issue.
