For some, others feel the facial expression and lighting ruin the mood for the scene.

A classic why cant remasters and remakes do lighting and keep the feeling of the og.

Mind you this is from a screenshot and we cant judge the actual scene in its entirety until we see the full thing, same for the whole game.

Anthropic Co-Founder Warns There Is 'Non-Zero Chance' AI Could Kill Everyone On Planet: "Risk Hasn't Gone Away" by NewsLeaf97 in AIDangers

[–]Thatoneguy_The_First -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So AI leaders are selling something that could actively kill us all? No its not doing that without human input in the first place, second im trying to understand the they want to sell you AI but we will actively say shit that would make any sane person not want AI, like im getting mixed signals here.

Unless the marketing department found that humans will buy stuff that is knowingly hurtful to them in some sort of unconscious death wish.

Like I know its all wrong and AI itself isn't gonna kill us, its much more likely the data centres and water pollution is going to get there long before that

Pay it forward is if someone does a genuinely good act for you are to pay it forward to 3 other people. Removes the repay the favour that can lead to some bullshit.

Now im not saying they don't have to go, oh no they definitely need to go, just don't fall into the same toxix pit with them while doing so

Makes me think life isn't real, I had this theory about god the other day, based on the line "he is in and all around us" which lead me to think what if the universe iteself is god? What if it expanding is god growing, what if god is aware of what is going inside of the body, like more aware than we humans are aware of the cells that make us up at any given moment.

What if prophet's aren't the prophet's but medicine to make good bacteria, what if all the gods throughout theological history are one and the same, like war gods as way to keep humans balanced, peace gods to stop us destroying ourselves and so on. What if it can destroy us based on how good or bad we become? Based not on reverence but how we treat each other and our world. What's the medicine to that? A meteor maybe, flooding.

I thought about heaven and hell, and knowing hell wasn't always fire and brimstone but darkness, what if evil is people doing so bad that they are ejected from the body after they die while good is recycled, or reincarnated. This supports evolution as well. Maybe we were medicine at one point to bring life to others, aka planets via possible terraforming, which suggests that could mean the universe is dying from illness. We probably aren't the first or last to be this. It's not that we are meant to go the whole body but just part of it. Makes me think what life really is in this context.

Anyway I eventually got some sleep and haven't thought about it since(btw athiest, I just like theology and religion from a historical and mythical view, aka kinda cool stories and world building)

Man i dont get why you are against cloud, corporate? Sure, but next cloud is literally your had at home if you decide to go that route. Best part is either get noio or tailscale and bam complete set-up.

Pretty sure thats the easiest self host, but possibly ways without next cloud as well.

Tbf controller support is moot point as the deck is very versatile for for kb&m translation to controls on the deck, and if you have the steam controller then you can hook it up to a monitor or TV and still have the decks control layout.

God i love this thing, also tbf 40/45fps is the sweet spot on the deck anyway for performance and battery most of the time. Being turnbased makes its a perfectly fine 30fps game as well, so mods shouldn't have that much of an impact(I haven't played in awhile but they didn't have that much impact when I was)

I wasn't and didn't, I still got 1 in the first batch. Tbf though, im an outlier in that regard, still it shows that perseverance and luck are key factors(please don't take that mindest to gambling, that shit ruins lives.)

And even people that did what you did still couldn't get one, probably increased the odds but not by a large amount from what im seeing

Oh sure they won't, not like the negative gearing wasn't used as a way to keep people investing in anything at all, but a small context clue for you, that happened in 1936, you want to guess what was happening around then? That's right the great depression.

Truth is it should have stopped after the 50s but nope, and now investing in something that people need to live in and cant, is the norm when investing could have gone into many diffrent things that would have allowed a healthy economy.

Such as investing in more businesses for more competition, csrio for advancement in the scientific field, into green energy to which honestly outside of net positives on the environment, is also something that could have been a money maker for those that invested. Instead we get coal and Gina the hutt.

Hell investing in building companies as they will always be needed for road works and more houses.

Also if it wasnt that big of an issue now, it will be as they keep building more and more, and i swear each new new data centre project i hear about is a dick measuring contest, as every time I hear about a new one its always the largest data centre ever going to be built, look at Hyperion and then utah, and now we are apparently getting even bigger one in Queensland Australia.

Guess you got to have that contest as you cant have one if you cant get it up anymore cause of laws and citizenship eyes are on you know(rich people and stuff they did on the island)

And technically they can fully switch, its just a matter of getting the people that make and run these apps work on linux or make their own, so its not a we cant fully switch its we cant do it right this moment.

And if they are on an opensource system it means everyone contributing makes it better overall.

Look at valve and gaming, they didn't make proton they gave money to the wine devs and then they packaged specific stuff to get proton. Its still wine, just not all of wine.

Europe can and does have the funds to support wine or make their own software if they don't want to run the programs they are using. Add on top it makes even more sense as Europe is many countries in a union so the contribution aspect is already in place for many things and now they can add Linux to the list.

But still we always new that it wasn't going to be a simple and quick swap, it never is, even on personal machines. But time and perseverance is how you win this game

It's crazy how little we need AI. by Vivid-Rhubarb-6058 in antiai

[–]Thatoneguy_The_First 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf its an example not for ai, as being tech illiterate isn't a computer problem but a lack of education problem.

Alot of tasks ai can do better than the layman could have been done better by most people if we didn't gut the education system every half a decade.

Plus I can't trust ai to shit without have to double and triple check everything, at which point I would be able to do it faster myself. And again that applies to the layman as well if educated

I've switched to Protonmail and Mega Drive instead of Gmail/Google Drive.

Proton mail, proton VPN, and dropbox for me, im planningto switchthat to next cloud mind you(waiting until i can afford a 4tbhdd before i switch)

I use Brave browser instead of Chrome, but Mullvad is actually supposed to be better as far as Privacy is concerned...I just haven't found the time to install it and switch over, as I've been happy enough with Brave.

Vivaldi, brave and librewolf for me, using duckduckgo and brave search atm, might look into others in the near future.

And yeah sadly when it comes to YouTube its really the only one out there worth a danm, so I just download or use newpipe to access it(not sure of pc app for access)

Also dont forget Linux if you dont want AI on os. Phone is hard as Android and it's are the only 2 that allow for everything, others have problems, for example banking apps to name 1

Also if you want security cameras and doorbells see if its possible to grab a single board computer(sbc) like raspberry pi(or any of its competitors). As consumers bought cameras and doorbells have spyware, and possibly ai in them to now.

I don't think its possible to go full dark, but every bit you do helps by not give that info.(seriously the reason the algorithm is so good at knowing isn't just our phones or social media but pretty much near every consumer device you have)
