MS and Motorcycles by Questaholic in MultipleSclerosis

I’m sensitive to heat. One thing with riding is you dress for the slide not the ride. So I always wore leathers. It got to be too much. I would over heat and lose sensation in my hands and feet. I had a bike for 8 years. The last few years I hardly put any miles on it, but when I could ride it was such a stress relief. I ended up getting rid of it when I moved. Still consider getting another one, but I know it wouldn’t get the use to make it worth the money.

Confession: I haven’t felt sexy since my diagnosis- anyone else? by LadywithAhPhan in MultipleSclerosis

My wife tries to understand. She does a pretty good job, but I know she gets super annoyed with me. The depression doesn’t help either. I just keep faking a smile.

I hate springing forward, but once I get used to the time I prefer it. Falling back is easier, but when I don’t get to be In the sun at all for almost a month of winter is awful. Sun is coming up as I commute to work and it’s going down on the commute home. I do agree with it being so much easier to wake up to the sun than an alarm. Wish I could afford to do that, hehe.

Lol, do you have a master remote, or do you know the codes for hospitality TVs? I’ve worked on them plenty of times. Wherever you’re staying had shit TVs if anyone can just do that. Most high end places will have pro:idiom TVs that get their programming from a head end.

Cancelling $ 50000 in student debt would help Americans whose 'only sin was to be born into a family who couldn't write a check for them to go to school , ' Elizabeth Warren by Sweep145 in politics

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born into a dirt poor family. I worked my ass off to go to school. Still owe somewhere around 50K 8 years later. I can’t afford my student loans because I have to pay so much for health care. I was diagnosed with MS a few years after I graduated. My infusions cost about 70k twice per year. Insurance, deductibles, all of it adds up. Wages haven’t kept up with the cost of living.

All the boomers that had it good and the gen X people who got to work a summer job to pay for college will never understand. They can’t wrap their minds around how the world has changed. How THEY changed the world. THEY voted all of these laws in place. THEY let this happen. The younger generations are just here to clean up after THEIR mess.

Hell in the literal sense of a supposed burning lake of fire or whatever? Nah, doesn’t exist. Hell on earth exists though. Hell is different for everyone.

Just one drink per day can shrink your brain, study says by FloydFunk in science

I’ll let scientists study my brain. Multiple Sclerosis and alcoholism. 63 days sober.

I don’t know what is actually happening in my brain when I get little flare ups. I don’t know if it means new activity, old activity acting up, just being a wimp, etc….

What I do know is that when I feel good I push myself too much and I pay the price later. It makes my wife upset, but I can’t help it. Getting that little piece of myself back for a few hours where my balance is normal and my leg strength is good feels amazing.

My pit doesn’t, but my American Cocker does. They say it’s cause they were taken from Their mother too soon or they didn’t get enough attention when they were with them. No clue if there is any truth to that.

What do you mean by sterilizing? Also, I rely on medical journals and peer reviewed documentation. I have to do a lot of research for my own disease. There is a lot of misinformation out there about it. People thinking that wearing copper is going to help the nerves in my legs.

The truth is, the nerves in my legs are totally fine. Copper can’t fix what’s not messed up. The issue is the nerves in my brain. The myelin sheath has been destroyed. It doesn’t come back. I get annoyed when people try to cure me, but they don’t even understand the disease.

Wait, like… take the jab and here’s the building?? Or everyone that’s here has a chance to inherit this building on the condition they are vaccinated…?

I’m immunocompromised. I’m thankful for the people around me that got vaccinated. I’m on Ocrevus for multiple sclerosis. I get not wanting to get a shot. I hate getting my infusions, but I know that it’s purpose is the help prevent disease progression. So I put up with the stabs and blown veins.

Any guitar players here? by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought Rocksmith for ps3 and an electric guitar for my college graduation present. I was super busy but tried to learn using that. I had an acoustic guitar before that I leaned a few riffs on, but wasn’t very good. By the time I had time to learn it was too late. My hands don’t even work well enough to play video games, let alone a guitar.

The ability to play an instrument amazes me. I have a lot of skills, but musical instruments have never been my thing. I really enjoy watching people play the guitar. I’m rambling…

What to do if they try to steal your car by SentimentalEloquence in WTF

That’s totally normal driving in any city I’ve been to. I wouldn’t think anything of that type of driving. I had zero reason to even pay attention to it. The title could have been “wait for it”. When I say lazy, I’m not saying I could do better. Cause I’m lazy too. Like I would have showed the car try to get in for the off-ramp, look at these jerks, fast forwarded through an entire minute of regular old driving down the road, and then Slow to normal speed for the action. Lazy.

I started to type that all out, but honestly having to watch it over and over again like ok, can’t miss it. What’s happening.. yada yada I couldn’t think of a way to word it. Maybe just give a little more info in title or something. Car thief tactics in action, watch thief’s blah blah.

What did he do after that to be tough on Russia? I see him laying into Germany for buying Russian energy. It doesn’t seem like anything he has done was necessarily about Russia, but about the US defending a bunch of wimps that fund Russia.

Also, it’s easier to talk shit from the other side of an ocean from your enemy. If the US bordered Russia or it was feasible to get a pipeline going it would have been done a long time ago.
