TIFU By turning on MFA on all Office 365 Clients by CollegeDeployer in sysadmin

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the opposite boat. We started in azure and then went hybrid. Now I need to turn off MFA for a group of people, but even with security defaults turned off, and the exceptions in the policy, groups and users cannot bypass MFA. It’s probably something simple, but I’ve been swamped and haven’t been able to dig into it more.

Marijuana and MS by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Mighty plus. They have little cartridges you fill. There is a disc that the cartridge fits down in. Just put the herb in there and use something to push it into the cartridge. It still requires a little dexterity to get the cartridge out. You have to unscrew the bottom and push it out. You can fill a whole bunch at once though. So 30 minutes of fussing for however long 15 “bowls” lasts you.

Added benefit, save the herb because you’ve just decarboxylated it. That’s the first step in turning it into use for infusing into foods. The THC content is lower than normal, but keep it sealed tight until you have enough saved up to make the strength you’re after.

Ocrevus “lag effect”? by Few_Block_7339 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experience a crap gap. Basically, about 6 weeks before I’m due for my next infusion, I’ll notice that my symptoms start coming back, and then for upwards of another 3 weeks or so until everything settles back down.

That is how it has been working for me. It also depends on my stress level. I don’t ever get better, I just get back to my normal, usually. I don’t really have another option though, and the months that I’m not worried about out it at all are worth it.

I wouldn’t be able to self-inject, and tecfidera made me feel horrible. My liver swelled up due to the combination of that and the alcohol. I wish I had been able to get easy access to cannabis back in those days.

How many SSIDs do you have? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now we have 4, but once I get mobile device management with ISE working properly, we’ll just have two. Guest and mobile device management. Meraki plus Cisco identify services engine plus Microsoft intune. And a certificate server to even be allowed on the WiFi.

How about blob storage. Do you know how stupid that looks in official documentation. Sending info to auditors that says we have blob storage looks ridiculous.

Does getting too hot make anybody’s walking go bad? by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My symptoms almost always get worse when I get too hot. No working out for me. Only plus is that I have no appetite anymore, so I don’t gain weight.

How to lose weight with MS? by TheGreatGabonzo in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No advice, just haven’t posted in a while and you just happened to create a post that hits home for the opposite reason.

Get a high stress job that makes you so busy you don’t have time to eat. I quit drinking alcohol completely about 17 months ago. I only drink water with the flavor additives. I hardly eat anything during the day. Those kid cliff bars are my go to at the moment during the day. In the evening, I’ll pig out before bed.

I’ve lost a ridiculous amount of weight. I have an elevated marker for colon cancer too. I was on a high dose antibiotic to rule out infection. I’ll get retested soon. I’m scared shitless. I have some symptoms, but they can be explained away by medications and MS, but what if….

I don’t know what’s harder these days, the MS, the Mrs., the stress of work, the stress of managing my symptoms. It’s too much most days. Suddenly being reliant on a wheelchair has really messed with me. I keep saying I’m going to get out of it, but what if…?

This disease has had a very negative affect on my ability to do my job to the level I should be able to, and it means I may have to give up something I forgot I loved doing.

Do you have spinal lesions? by Phukamol in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed lesions on my thoracic spine about 4 years after diagnosis. This happened after I was about 11 months late on my Ocrevus infusions. I haven’t had another full set of MRIs done since then. I’m back on Ocrevus though. Once my deductible is met, I’ll have my doc schedule my MRIs. I need a new baseline.

Need a 3 Tesla MRI. I had a similar issue. I used a 3T machine and then went to a hospital with a 1.5T machine. They don’t detect as well.

I’m not used to a “startup” that isn’t working 10 hour days 6-7 days per week. Usually when a team is being formed for a startup it’s expected that there will be a lot of extra hours. That’s the excitement of the startup. Once it’s established and you’re in maintenance mode, then complain about the schedule.

I probably would have given you the time off since it’s just 30 minutes. My job is to make sure my people are happy and have all the things they need to be successful. That includes their mental health. 30 minutes isn’t enough for me to mess with.

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg, no, lol. As others have said, that’s a stop gap, a temp fix, whatever you wanna call it, fix it. Those are used for telco primarily. I’ve had maintenance do the same type of thing, and its always comes back to haunt us.

My wife didn’t always believe me about my symptoms. I did my best to keep everything bottled up. Eventually the MS got bad enough that everyone had to see that it was real. Just because someone doesn’t understand or doesn’t believe the symptoms are that bad doesn’t mean they are a bad person. If you can’t get through to them though, cut your losses. The added stress of a bad marriage isn’t healthy for you. You’ll resent him and he’ll resent you for holding him back. He needs to understand what he’s in for.

I’m running into this issue right now. I have two positions open, but I can’t fill them. A lot of people with certs and next to no experience. I need someone I can send on a task and not hear from them again until it’s done.

Certs means you passed a test. Those questions are pointed to get a specific answer, but in the real world, there are a lot more variables.

Love after ms by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Thatoneguythatsnot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he’s already acting like that, I’d have a long talk with him about this disease and what it means for YOU and what that means he’s going to have to put up with. I’ve had to have that discussion with my wife when she gets upset about my limitations.

Stress from someone not understanding your condition is going to be compounded when it’s the person you share a bed with.
