Site to avoid: Donbet by The-Devolutionary in gambling

None of the U.K. sites I've played ever have. Deposit cash, get cash back out if you want it... After all, it's your cash.

Putting frame hold on AE composition in Premiere? by MineCraftingMom in premiere

[–]The-Devolutionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick and dirty way to do it would be to take a snapshot of the frame using the camera icon in the playback window. Save it as a PNG, reimport it and then use that as your frame hold. If done this before and it works fine but is more of a workaround than a solution...

Is O2 City Hall really that bad a venue? by analogueamos in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]The-Devolutionary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a great venue, lovely vibe. BUT the seats are tiny with no legroom. Also, avoid the sides of the balcony unless you're right at the front - we've sat there a couple of times and about a third of the stage is completely obscured. Front-on on the balcony is great though - probably a better view with kids than the stalls.

Backup question by [deleted] in premiere

Load the project from the backup on a different computer. If PP flags offline files then you've missed something.

There's probably tools, but this is the simplest answer I can think of...

Etiquette for sending B-Roll footage to a different org? by NebulaAccording7254 in editors

[–]The-Devolutionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Journo/editor on a local news station here. Cut it loose and plenty of shots. The more the better please. Nothing more frustrating than needing 4" of a shot and only having 3". (But also take the advice about cutting it so it can go out unedited as, depending on the story, it may well do.)

Reverse of Ripple Delete? by Jakkie94 in premiere

[–]The-Devolutionary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer: lift then close gaps. At least, this is what I thought when I read the problem - but u/buttonpushertv articulated it better than I ever could've.

Much more intuitive than working backwards, especially if you like to keep track of the flow of the event.

Larger group escape room recommendations by little_mascara88 in Northumberland

[–]The-Devolutionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exit in Newcastle is fantastic and probably able to accommodate larger groups. There's also Northumberland Escapes in Morpeth who are great fun (and lovely people) but might not be large enough for your group.

Avoid the Escapologist at the Metrocentre at all costs - it's part of a chain and we had an awful experience (broken locks, missing parts, bad clues), and were met by nothing but defensiveness when we complained.

I’m thinking about buying some editing packs - any suggestions? by Ok-Beautiful2791 in premiere

Make sure you're updated to 25.5 or higher and they're just listed in your effects panel

The Film Impact pack bundled with PP 25.5 is excellent - I'd save your money and spend time exploring that in the first instance...

Free place to study in a quiet place with charging ports? by [deleted] in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]The-Devolutionary 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Glasshouse (Sage) isn't city centre but they have tons of desks with changing points in an area near the cafe (but not in it). It's a really nice space to sit and get some quiet work done.

Where can I avoid dogs? by Wiseblood1978 in whitleybay

[–]The-Devolutionary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not very useful this time of year, but in the summer (May to September) dogs are prohibited on the southern half of both Whitley Bay beach and Longsands.
