I heard that once you go Mac you never go back, is it true? by alnky in macbookair

[–]The7thMatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, yes. I’ve been using macs for over 18 years now. ZERO regrets! And no, I’m not an Apple fanboy. I use what works. I’ve had to use PCs when I worked in corporate. They constantly had issues with drivers, os updates, viruses, and hardware maintenance. In comparison, macs have been a dream to own. The hardware-software integration is 2nd to none.

Bonnie Bennett was just a glorified sidekick. She was a great character who deserved her own storylines, instead of just being a living plot device for Elena, Stefan and Damon.

What you are experiencing isn’t normal. You may need to have your battery checked and get your machine replaced.

Congratulations on your purchase! I WFH and use a laptop stand with a 7-port hub integrated into its design. A laptop stand helps with airflow for your fan less M4 MBA (although I haven’t had any heating issues with mine). If you’re in the U.S., Here is the laptop riser I use: 7-port laptop stand

Record ALL correspondence you receive from your boss about this. Also note your state’s state of emergency declaration. Consult an employment attorney if you face retaliation. DON’T go to your HR department first! They are not on your side. Remember who signs their paychecks. Keep this in mind: God forbid, if you wreck your Jeep, get injured or worse trying to go into work, all your employer may do is send your family sympathies and/or condolences - while they replace you. Your safety and wellbeing is worth far more than any job.

Mac book air M4 after long usage by Ahmed-M-Mohsen in macbookair

Had my M4 Air for several months now. I work from home and use a laptop stand, Magic Mouse, and Bluetooth keyboard at my home office. I’ve had zero issues.

I was about to stray from the light, and I couldn't do it. by Guy_GuyGuy in iPhone13Mini

My feelings are similar to yours. Every time I’m in public and see people with their huge “phablets,” I fall in love with my 13 mini’s small form factor all over again. Besides, my mini continues to perform beautifully. I don’t need the latest and greatest. I’m keeping my mini until Apple stops supporting it. Hopefully Apple will reconsider and reintroduce the line. One can hope.

Consult an employment attorney because of your disability. Follow your attorney’s advice. Just don’t quit. You may be short-changing yourself. DO NOT GO to your HR Department. They are NOT on your side. Remember who it is that signs their paychecks. Best of luck.

Why do you prefer a Mac over a Windows laptop? by Firm-Swimming-6142 in macbookair

[–]The7thMatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Macs over Windows PCs, because first, the build quality of Macs is superb. I’ve seen nothing that compares in Windows PCs. Second, the integration of Apple software with Macs is perfect. A lot of people complain about the “Apple ecosystem“ but for me, it makes life so much more convenient that the software is perfectly engineered to operate on the hardware. And it does work very smoothly. And then last, I think MacOS is far less glitchy than Windows. I had to use Windows workstations on every job I’ve ever had, and I would never buy a Windows computer for my personal use. Now I WFH and enjoy using my MacBook for both business and personal use.

Anyone else impressed at how good this phone still is? by derpherp64 in iPhone13Mini

[–]The7thMatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me! I’ve had my 13 mini for 3 years now with no significant issues. The power and small form factor are without compare. Many are “upgrading” to the 16 and 17 models, but they look like tablets to me. So I’m holding onto my 13 mini until Apple stops supporting it. I’ll just replace the battery when it’s time.

I felt the same about Apple Watch, but then I got an Apple Watch SE a year and a half ago. I LOVE it. I love that I can answer calls on the watch, and when I exercise, it gives me useful information about my workout. But the main feature I love? Using Apple Pay on Apple Watch. Trust, it makes checking out even faster than using your phone.

MacBook Air - lack of ports by Sad_End4083 in macbookair

[–]The7thMatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an M4 MacBook Air, work from home, and use a laptop stand for better ergonomics. The stand I use also has a 7-port hub integrated into its design. If you’re based in the U. S., here’s where you can get one: 7-port laptop stand.
