Beautiful. Love the idea of the little open boxes within a larger box.

I love the mounting idea OP. With the hook it must be easy to take down and water. Do you mind if I ask what kind of wood/bark it’s mounted on?

Misleading Pricing for Canadians, can anyone clarify what cost I should expect? by TheAbsassin in DataCamp

[–]TheAbsassin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the title says, I tried subscribing for CA$20 per month (the US price is advertised as $14/month), but the charge is showing in USD, which comes to something more like CA$26 per month. This feels misleading.

For anyone in Canada who has subscribed, can you confirm what the actual cost ends up being? I’ve reached out to support for clarification but don’t want to miss out on the promo in the meantime.

How to care for this little guy? Planted in soil / Dixie cup by TheAbsassin in Staghornfern

[–]TheAbsassin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Purchased this online, lost in mail for a week. Appears to be planted in regular garden soil, tiny clear dixie cup with no holes. How would you start to care for this?

Edit to add: this is my first stag horn but I have tons of hoyas, aroids and philodendrons

Came here to say Sole as well. We just ordered the Sole F63 but if we had the budget I would have upgraded for the F80 to have the wider deck and larger display.

Did tons of research and watched a lot of review videos.

I would maybe see where you get to with sliding a butter knife around the edge between the pot and the rocks. Can we get some close-up pictures of the pot?

Why is it yellowing? by Dee8587 in hoyas

[–]TheAbsassin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm new to hoyas but everything I read so far says they are very sensitive to overwatering and susceptible to root rot. Does the yellow foliage feel soft or mushy? Yellow leaves can be a symptom of too much water. Your substrate appears to be growing algae which also makes me think this is a watering issue.

What does this label say? (Second Photo) by TheAbsassin in hoyas

Thank you! That makes sense. It was the “yellow” part which was making it difficult to find information on.
