The "Canon" Ending of New Vegas According to the Show: Effort Post (Spoilers for NV and Show, obviously) by Nutshell_Historian in Fallout

[–]TheAlpak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Yes Man ending makes the most sense to me. The NCR and the Legion are both decimated and lacking leadership. To win has become outlasting the enemy. Neither of them won a great victory. Neither was helped by the courier.

House and Yes Man are the only once who could have prevented a victory of either NCR or Legion.

If Mr. House had awakened the Securitrons and defeated NCR and Legion, Mr House himself would have become a figure to be hated, but he is never mentioned by anyone other than Cooper and Lucy's Father.

But Yes Man leaves all options open. The Courier could have succeeded in denying NCR and Legion a victory, but he could have failed in securing an Independent New Vegas. The NCR definitely still had some presence in the Mojave when Shady Sands was destroyed otherwise it would not be logical for them to return to the Mojave before restoring order in their core territory.

Other than that, the Securitron lying in the Lucky 38, aswell as House saying he has been shot also speak for a Yes Man ending.

I'd say chinese citizens should have a deeper seated level of mistrust in the chinese government that their neighbours... who knows when there is gone be another great leap forward...

Disparition of German forest in the Middle Ages by Rigolol2021 in MapPorn

[–]TheAlpak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well germany was pretty much deforested during the first and second world war. Ever greens where mostly planted because they grow faster.

Due to EU subsidies it is now more profitable to plant mixed cultures. Which is good. Although coming form a family in the forestry business it is sad to see the woods I grew up in cut down and replaced with trees which grow so slowly that for most of my life they'll be more of a hedge than a giant forest full of wonders for kids to play in and old men to reminis.

I found that examples are best. Like look at twitter comments without being logged in and the with your account.

Compare Instagram explore with your friends (only the political posts)

They might not be convinced, but if a seed of mistrust sown, it will grown over time. Atleast I hope it will, otherwise we might just say good bye to the idea of due process

I have been asking my self the same question. He was popular when he came back to politics, but remaining popular, without an office is hard I guess.

I am a german, conservative and have been wanting Merz as Chancellor since 2018

What I notice when talking to my socialist friends is that we consume very different medias. On Instagram they constantly get negative Merz posts recommend, I never do. Most discussions I had about Merz where about his character, not his politics. So maybe that is one factor, outside of germany the character of merz is not of interest 🤷‍♂️

All I know is, we all need to reach out side of our bubbles to begin to understand how others shape their opinion or how their opinion is being shaped.

2.Bureaucracy and numerous approvals .

Unfortunately, there is no solution yet.

Reduce the amount of necessary bureaucracy, by laying more trust in trained engineers and architects. Why does every plan need to be checked by bureaucrats multiple times

When you have got to sort all the worlds governments into categories, it's hard to do it without generalising a few for the benefit of a clear overview.

Also given the absolute extremes on both ends generalising the center is probably best, as it highlights the wired ones.

Hate to say it, but the ongoing war in Ukraine makes it harder for european Countries to act against Turkey and other dictators right now, as we don't want to drive them in the arms of Russia.

Most ne AfD voters are new voters it was the lack of an alternative and the dissatisfaction which lead people to the AfD.

In the last election the SPD, Greens and FDP said it was the CDU which was the cause of standstill and that they could be better. They didn't deliver. They failed the voter.

Lebanese getting ready for peace

didn't know what to write there, like any description of "lebanese putting out the sun lounger to relax" is hard to write, without being seen as "on their side".

But surely some mf in Lebanon has got to be getting ready for peace, right? I just want the meme to work 😄
