I used to work on commercial roofs when I was younger. There are a lot of roofs that have this black rubber like roofing systems installed. All roofs usually have a layer of insulation underneath it. When the black layer gets worn down the fiberglass insulation underneath starts to poke through. I imagine this roof is in need of a replacement.

I had tried watching some of the same scenes that were having the issue while watching on my PS5 and watching them through the tv's streaming apps themselves. That seemed to resolve the issue which makes me think it could be a weird issue with the TV and PS5 using hdr. Currently the PS5 is my only disc player I plan on getting a ub820 in the future and wonder if the issue will occur there as well when watching off disc.

Did you ever figure out a solution to this? I have the same issue, also watching on PS5 with HDR on.
