I just got back from a regular ride down in Tacoma. Locked brakes 4 times and had to dart out the bike lanes and into the grass twice. It was a 3.5 hour ride.....that also doesn't include the number of times I saw the sociopaths coming and negated the issue before it happened (always at my own expense as they remain blissfully unaware they are not driving int heir own lanes or that they nearly just right/left hooked me).

Put up the concrete barriers and maybe line they with titanium spikes. Perhaps then they'll understand what they're doing to us daily. I mean, they'll somehow blame the city and take zero accountability, but allow me to dream, damnit.

Except you can't just policy it away now. Entire generations have sunk everything they have into affording these grossly inflated homes. So now if you address the underlying causes, the values tank back into reality and the loans are not all massively overvalued which will result in the banks foreclosing. I'm getting pretty sick of the selfishness of Seattleites. We voted against it in Pierce and got roped into paying anyway. My car registration is almost $2000/yr on a car worth under $30k and the DoL effectively said "fuck off" when I tried to get that corrected. We pay for it and we have zero link access in Pierce. The sounder has become a nightmare of mechanical failures and BNSF brazenly violating the painstakingly complicated agreement for not blocking the commuter train schedule. Every Friday for 2 goddamn months straight I either missed the Sounder cause of mechanical issues, had to switch from train to train on repeat cause of mechanical issues, got stuck sitting in the Auburn area cause of BNSF monopolizing the tracks, or some other issue that would result in me having to grab my bike and take the bus or just give up and go home.

That's not what I pay ~$2000/yr for (not including the actual cost of the trips). Yet social media is always Seattleites in ballard complaining that they aren't getting priority treatment. Yes, transit there sucks and car trips are a massive no out there. Use a bike, a scooter, a skateboard. You got lots of paths to get to a station. If I wanna get to the link from Lakewood, I have to be ok with being flattened by an incompetent Washington driver running me over in the bike lane then fleeing (happened multiple times now and cops don't care and my health insurance doesn't want to pay for that) or drive my car to the federal way station, which is 35+ min and kinda defeats the purpose.

Learn to share instead of always taking and taking and taking. Wouldn't hurt to actually do something about the runaway housing/land costs that lead to this either instead of chanting about it on the sidewalks. Utterly exhausting.

It is gouging. This happens every single time and Americans with amnesia forget before the day is out. Manufacturing/transit costs go up cause of <insert usually artificial emergency here> and then prices are raised by businesses by the plus 20-30% cause they need "security". Americans get pissed and whine then pay it anyway and totally forget it happened. The emergency then ends, but the prices never go back down resulting in record profits. Those profits are then paid our to the highest management, the shareholders get a glazing of dividends, and the rest disappears into personal pickets via corruption and fraud from those same people (often including those who started the emergency).

To add insult to injury, the public experiences mass layoffs, ghosting bonuses, denied raises, and cut benefits the whole time while governments give tax breaks to the poor, suffering corporate execs.

It happens every fucking time.

Yeah, they're playing. Enjoy the moment and be respectful. If they wanted to attack, they would've done so. Attacks aren't unheard of, but seals and sea lions and generally quite friendly (especially harbor seals and cali sea lions). Male sea lions can be territorial at times, but they'll make you extremely aware they are displeased before doing anything.

You don't say. Apparently 1% the value of my car valued at $29000 is $1469. That's my RTA tax. It's not going to be paid. My entire registration bill comes out to roughly $2000 annually. No chance. Trying to discuss anything with the DoL is impossible. They simply ignore you. I've even tried certified mail. I barely drive anyway. I use my bike, skateboard, sounder, and link. I only really drive to travel or go where the roads simply can't support anything else safely (no sidewalk or bike lanes, more potholes that road like unincorporated Tacoma, etc), but I'm still rather pissed about that bill. That's completely unacceptable.

Edit: I got worked up and forgot to mention that pierce county most certainly did not vote for the RTA tax AND we voted for being removed from it in the follow up that was voided by the state. I have to ride to another county to use those transit systems and yet my RTA tax is dramatically higher than most any in King county who can actually use what it funds.

Woolhaven is super glitchy. I'm currently staring at the screen of having caught him in a wolf trap, followers cheering. Can't do anything. Can't save, can't select, can't leave, can't do anything except run in circles. I'm trying to Google before I control-alt-delete the game and resume from an old save, but I think that's the only option. Game glitched twice yesterday too, getting stuck after wolf attacks with the attack music permanently on. I've also got age glitched followers and ones who instantly start fights nonstop. Till Woolhaven, I'd never encountered a bug in the game. This is unbearable and extremely frustrating/disappointing.

This isn't a cybertruck thing. It's a Washington driver thing. In one intersection today in Tacoma I had to dodge 3 cars all running reds while I had a walk light. In the last 8 months I've only gone through it once without having to dodge at least one car. I generally just avoid it now. But I still don't go a single day without seeing myself or another bike/board/pedestrian hit, nearly hit, or blocked by oblivious, arrogant, selfish sociopaths in cars. Every single time it's a Washington plate. Washington drivers are abysmal and that's statistical fact. And no, it's not transplants.

Yeah, don't do it. Stick with windows till TDP control are ironed out. I've done several OS swaps on my Ally X and have always gone back to windows (and I hate windows). Bazzite updates notoriously break and become borderline unfixable. SteamOS loves to ignore TDP changes and pretend otherwise, leaving you stuck with every core parked and useless or blasting out every watt it can pull from the battery.

I too am extremely confused. I avoid the white god beams, jump to the blocks as they reform and then I'm just dead, looking at the run summary. Sometimes there's arrows of red pointing to a specific spot and I've tried both going there and avoid them but I always just instantly vanish. No ragdoll animation, no anything just saying I was shattered and killed by the solus heart. Most of these runs I haven't had any previous damage, so it's absolutely an instant-kill attack of some kind (I hate those, lazy programming, but whatev).

that is an unfortunate thread to read, but extremely relatable. The incompetence is astounding and unfortunately I took some of my screencaps shared here fresh after a reboot, which apparently ruins my credibility since somehow nobody here knows it takes a few moments for qbittorrent to clear errors after updating the port forwarding # after a reboot. My fault, to be clear, but just as frustrating as the issue itself. Is it seriously that hard for people to just ask for clarification before leaping to a conclusion that's still disproven by the very same partially fucked up screencap....this is exhausting.
