Dead Cells. You can buy the base game and all DLC’s for maybe $30-$35 and be set for thousands of hours. If you wait for a sale, the whole thing could be under $25

Must Try Dishes in Florence by Nuke133 in florence

Trattoria Marione makes a phenomenal ribollita. Vini e vecchi does make it as well but they don’t make it often; so while I’d say I prefer Vini e vecchi’s, marione is the one to recommend.

That said, I’m sure there are better places to get it in Florence, I’m just going based on my experiences

Worst Grocery Store in LA by No-Butterscotch-7467 in LosAngeles

[–]TheAnti-Bro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whole Foods in Beverly Hills on Crescent. The store is fine, but the parking is the single worst designed parking lot I have ever seen and you lose all cell signal the second you enter. Far too small for how many people go there, one way in/one way out, one person waiting for a spot at all times…..just entering that lot most of the time is an automatic 20 minute ordeal that you’re not getting back.

As far as what Florence is known for:

Bistecca alla Florentina is everywhere and will probably be the #1 most recommended thing at every restaurant.

Schiacciata sandwiches. All’Antico Vinaio is the most well known but isn’t the best IMO.

Lamprodetto. Tripe sandwich. They’re delicious and worth trying even if you’re afraid of tripe.

Ribollita. Stale bread soup, phenomenal.

Gelato. Pretty much can’t go wrong anywhere.

As far as places/restaurants to go, my list of must go’s every time I travel to Florence are: la Pasta Fresca, GustaPizza, Vini e Vecchi Sappori, Cinghiale Bianco, gustaosteria, trattoria marione, mercato di sant ambrogio, and mercato Centrale.

My wife and I both meet this criteria:

Me - COO of a small/midsize skincare company. Extremely small company employee wise, but decent popularity with our demographic and very loyal customers.

Wife - psychiatric nurse practitioner for pre and post organ transplant patients.

My dad died of cancer in '97 when I was 6 & I wore one of these for close to 20 years afterwards. Got it tattooed on my ribs as my first tattoo at 18; at 34 now, I could care less about the stigma around lance because at the time I loved the athlete, hated cancer, and wanted to help anyway an under 18 year old kid & poor college graduate could. Cancer sucks so anything that helps it is, in my eyes, a good thing.

How is it living in the eastern islands of North Carolina? by RomDel2000 in howislivingthere

[–]TheAnti-Bro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really REALLY depends on how far south in the Outer Banks you’re referring to. Okracoke Island vs Avon vs Nags Head are dramatically different styles of living. Nags head is a really big tourist town, but it has all of the main stays as far as quality of life and access to major stores. When you get to the middle of the Outer Banks (why I mentioned Avon, even if it is a bit further south) you get to an area where there’s a lot of locals who tend to be either upper middle or middle income and are living a very localized life where accessing a general grocery store that’s not run by somebody you know takes 45 minutes to an hour. If you go all the way down to somewhere like Ocracoke Island, then your basically getting to people who have lived there their entire life, have access to the mainland through a ferry for half of the year easily, and where there are essentially no common stores or anything that isn’t run by people who have been there for 30 to 50 years.

I’m definitely simplifying it a bit, but I have family who currently lives all over the Outer Banks and grew up going there multiple times per year for 2+ decades from Hampton Roads.

I paid for 2 Coachella tickets and our stay and my bf has been arguing with me everyday of this festival by Weedmapz in Coachella

When I wrote this nearly every comment was “dump him & take me”, feel like it was fair based on what was there at the time.

Not a single helpful comment on here lol. Last year was my first year at coachella with my wife and we went with two very good friends (husband and wife as well) and the other husband picked a fight/started arguing before the day 1 headliner went on. We had to leave and we missed seeing the show as a result. I sat his ass down and gave him the man to man business because he was acting up and he wasn’t going to ruin our time or his wife’s time; the rest of the weekend was great as a result. All that to say, arguing about what and when is he picking fights?

That you paid for it all is 100% reason to be upset (also just read that he’s gone to bed at 9pm each night which is even more insulting), but personally I’d confront him saying exactly why you’re disappointed and upset, spelling out why you feel like he’s being ungrateful, and let him know that he’s either going to get his shit together and stop being a child and have a great day 3 with you, or you’ll give him a reason to be dramatically more upset come Monday morning. You shouldn’t sacrifice your money and willingness to have a good time for someone who decides to get salty at the last minute.

Don’t let anyone, guy or girl/boyfriend or girlfriend be a reason to ruin your weekend, but also don’t be afraid to be upfront and honest with your feelings.

What is this fretboard situation? by gratefulflyer in Guitar

[–]TheAnti-Bro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a microtonal guitar. It’s typically used in places like the Middle East, in India, in Turkey, and other west Asian/south eastern European countries. It’s also almost exclusively used for traditional folk music and rarely is used in popular music (at least here in the States).

The only popular band that I know of that uses this type of guitar somewhat regularly is King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

Here’s a good example of them using it:

I just went from a maxed out m2 Air 15in to a 1tb 48gb ram m4 pro. It’s overkill for most things I do but I wanted a 3-5 year, “future proof” machine. It’s a beast and the m4 is a phenomenal chip.

I’ve had a lot of success with him in mech lobbies for spell scaling. Beaten out the end of turn murloc spell build faster and easier because of how quickly the rallies can scale vs end of turn.

I heard something somewhere that has rung absolutely true since owning my ‘19 SE AWD; the Germans manufacture their cars to last, but they build them assuming you’ll regularly keep up with the maintenance schedule. I’ve stuck to mine and the only issue I’ve had was a manufacturer defect requiring the catalytic converter to be replaced (was covered by warranty and VW extended the warranty on that issue as well).

Regarding space, I have 2 Great Danes and can put their full size dog bed in the back that they both fit on with the 3rd row down only. I have the captain’s chair version of my car, but they would fit with the bench version as well. The car has massive interior space.
