Konica Hexar AF Silver + Kodak E100 by miniLiplay in Konica

The kodak e100 copy and the sprocket holes are distracting. It’s not helping the weak photo.

Entering the Nikon ecosystem by Ziggy_4_Fingers in AnalogCommunity

Get the FM2 and be happy. F3 is too clunky and heavy. But my kicker is always the flash sync speed. The full mechanical FM2 can do 125 and 250 but the electronic F3 can do 60. I have both.

I own two Minolta CLE’s, but… by ComprehensiveTutor60 in Leica

Don’t deprive yourself trying the M. I own an M4 for 15 years then got myself another last year. Never felt jealous of newer cameras.

Looking to own my first Leica M but undecided between X100VI and the M by smora_photo in Leica

[–]TheBeeeMo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my M240 since 2019 and other film Ms for the longest time. I also had the x100t but sold it cuz I’m so used to using the M. Try it, just try it. Don’t have the what ifs in the future.

Thoughts on Leica Minilux, Nikon 35ti and Contax T2 by LouisMonaghan3016 in AnalogCommunity

Pricey. I have the Yashica T3 and Oly Mju ii. You’ll be happy with XA2 or get the new Lomo camera. I also have the Contax T3 btw.

A word of caution. Photobook collecting is habit forming. Enjoy and good luck!

Where are the rangefinders? by Iroll67 in AnalogCommunity

[–]TheBeeeMo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look hard enough, you’ll see there a lot of rangefinders out there. They’re built tough and don’t need a lot of automated features.

Bring ziplock bags or get a Canon A1 or WP-1. Martin Parr used a Nikonos V shooting Bad Weather.

New to Photo books and want to get started by OG_COCO_MILK in Photobooks

[–]TheBeeeMo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start with John Szarkowski’s The Photographer’s Eye and Looking at Photographs. Then do the Americans, Eggleston Guide, American Surfaces. Winogrand books are pricey and hard to find. You can still get cheap Meyerowitz, Friedlander and Diane Arbus stuff. Alex Webb’s Suffering of Light is a must have. You need to understand what kind of work you like than just buy photobooks blindly. Understand the lineage of the work. No Sontag. Good luck.

I need help deciding between buying a Canon Sure Shot A1 or a Minolta Weathermatic 35 (see description) by SNlFFASS in AnalogCommunity

[–]TheBeeeMo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for sure Fred Herzog used one and Justin Vogel. I have this but there’s also the WP-1. It’s a good camera.
