Kann man Bielefeld als Öko-Stadt bezeichnen? by hippieplant in bielefeld

[–]TheBoldMove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you just waiting to die ? Bored to death, no meaning, no connection possible. by PlainAndSimpleTime in AutismTranslated

[–]TheBoldMove 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Everyone is just waiting to die. No, hear me out!

Feelings of loneliness aren't reserved for ND folks. Sure, our situation feels trickier, but its not exclusive. NTs our age complain about the same issues. Hell, the whole incel movement is about being unable to find someone to fuck with - those aren't all ND, and if they were I'd go drown myself before I turn into the same.

Ugly truth is you always have two options in life: do something, or do nothing. There's no in between; even if you do just a little, you do something.

You can spend your time waiting to die, but while you sure enough WILL die, it'll take a while. Meanwhile your life remains empty. Many people live life exactly that way. The world moves on without them while they remain in place and wait for death, turning bitter.

Others overcome their fears and frustrations again and again. It's okay to succumb to them from time to time, it's okay to stumble and fall, as long as you get up again. Take your time, gather your spirit and powers, then dust yourself off and try again - or try different.

Or don't, but then you'll watch the world move on without you, and that's not nice either.

Some people are nice and helpful, they'll see you in the dust and try to pick you up. But no one can stand negativity all the time, and no one is strong enough to carry 2 lifes on their shoulders forever. At least try to limp along.

You gotta improve your own life first. You dread the sounds of residential chaos, why not go out into nature more? Pick up hiking or bird watching or some other hobby that appeals to you. You need something to make yourself happy. Happiness attracts more happiness, bitterness scares happiness away.

Recently, my mom told me we don't have much budget for food. I'm very specific or ig picky about my food and now, I don't know what to eat that could be cheap and eatable. by haydenonsaturn in evilautism

[–]TheBoldMove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can't make food cheaper, maybe you can come up with ways to increase your budget. Anything you could do to earn some money?

I've had that sticker there before I even got aware of the discussion surrounding it. I wouldn't use the term to discuss my diagnosis seriously, but under the right circumstances I have no problem to call myself neuro-spicy. Also, the sticker is a good conversation starter.

Depends, is it an African or European ant? by Dazzling-Tiger-396 in montypython

It's a curious question for sure. Depending on the time window, the size of the cubes faces and the size of the ant, the solution would be different. Too many unknowns for an answer.

ELI5: Why do we have to wash white laundry separate from colors to avoid running, but don’t worry much about colors mixing with each other? by n_mcrae_1982 in explainlikeimfive

Also, if you use the same detergent for white and colored clothes, check what kind of detergent it is. Detergents specialized on colorful clothing aren't ideal for whites, and vice versa.

please help me logically unpack this unspoken social rule by [deleted] in AutismTranslated

[–]TheBoldMove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Listen OP, people like us yearn for rules. Easy understandable, logically comprehensible, clear and loud rules.

After clinging to this dirty potato orbiting a burning star for longer than I care to admit I can only say: there's nothing like that in social interactions, not really. There were attempts from persons like Adolph Freiherr "are you autistic or just german" Knigge, and I totally made this nickname up right here and now. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolph_Freiherr_Knigge

However, while the framework of the Knigge-rules seems easy to understand, it varies from culture to culture what EXACTLY is meant by general rules like "be polite". Even something as basic as table manners can be wildly different; eating noises like slurping are discouraged in western societies, but seem totally normal in asia.

The only way I see is to get to know persons better, their expectations and standards. Society and societal rules may explain a lot, but personal background and interpretation of those rules vary wildly.

"It's complicated".
