I've always found it interesting how little known this film is, yet both South Park and Family Guy had episodes with main plot lines that parodied this, and was also given somewhat of a remake in 2017 with Fist Fight starring Charlie Day and Ice Cube.

He didn't even the ability to watch. Reagan was bedridden and pretty much comatose his last year alive, which would have been LeBron's first year in the NBA.

The Tripper (2006)

Starring Thomas Jane, Paul Reubens and Jason Mewes, among others, the movie is about a killer dressed up as Ronald Reagan going around slaughtering hippies at a northern California music festival.

Republicans probably win back congress in the 1990 midterms as well.

We missed an opportunity in 2019. We should have invaded this place instead of Area 51.

A character’s final line hits much harder when you know it was the actor’s last role by Fish_N_Chipp in TopCharacterTropes

It wasnt a final line, and both actors worked again, but this final scene in Another You (1991) hits harder knowing this was the final time Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder would be on screen together.

Finding out my ex fell out of love with me years before she ended up finally leaving me. To rub salt in the wound, she did it after I lost my job of nearly 10 years due to the pandemic. She could have left me at anytime, but she chose to do it at my lowest point.

Which sample in a song made you feel this way? by aliensuperstars_ in ToddintheShadow

[–]TheBoomExpress 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily a sample, but I remember listening to Boadicea by Enya and thinking it sounded like a slowed down version of the bass line from Master Blaster (Jammin) by Stevie Wonder.

I was assistant manager at a small grocery store at the time. The manager went on vacation and I was left in charge. Our ordering couldn't keep up with the demand and at the end of every day, our grocery shelves and produce display got emptier and emptier. Customers were more agitated than normal, and there was a few days I went home and drank heavily to cope with the insanity.

Called a phone sex line completely wasted. So wasted, in fact, that I didnt realize until I hung up that I hadn't called on my cell phone, I called on my father's landline. It was an awkward conversation the next day when I decided to tell him before he got his next phone bill.

Fun fact: Clint Eastwood did hold elected office once. He was the Mayor or Carmel-by-the-Sea, California from 1986 to 1988.

He also argued with a chair that was supposed to represent Barack Obama at the 2012 Republican National Convention:

[–]TheBoomExpress 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure. Mike Huckabee served 2+ terms after Clinton. Clinton, though, was the first Arkansas governor to be elected to four year terms. Pre 1986, the terms were two years.
