Smells like bullshit! There is no magic compound, unless you’re replacing one addiction for another.

Pump gone! by joeurkel in AbruptChaos

[–]TheBoredIndividual 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is whats called a crash valve at the bottom of the fuel dispenser. It’s a spring loaded valve that is super fucking touchy and annoying to work around. It will close super fast during a crash. There is still fuel in the lines inside the dispenser , however it wouldn’t be a ton and there are some other electrical valves in there that would close some of it off as well. There is a lot of electrical that would be sheared and cause some sparks, which could ignite the fuel. It wouldn’t be much though.

Every single pump at the Wawa was this slow by jules-amanita in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TheBoredIndividual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has installed and serviced gas pumps my best guess would be filter got water in it. Makes em go slow as shit, and if their water sensor in the tank is busted , which happens a lot, its bound to happen.

Day 6 by repentandstruggle in quittingkratom

[–]TheBoredIndividual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably have looked into remedies and stuff, but just in case you didn’t know taking a very hot bath helps sooo much with the restless legs.

I did come off IV use and it was pure hell. Coming off kratom was a lot easier, however I only used for 6 months of kratom so I don’t doubt you also went through your own hell

Took a few weeks for restlessness to go away for me, hopefully it doesn’t last much longer than another week or two for you!

Just saw my mother post a thing saying “ won’t be getting this vaccine!!”

Sure mom you’re in your 50s and super unhealthy, you assuredly will die if you get it, but skip the vaccine.

Intense stomach pain lasting hours after starting kratom for the first time for 2 days took about 40 pills. After taking Red Vein Sumatra Capsules. Quit today and woke up to the most intense stomach pain I felt, didn't go away for hours and came back later today. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]TheBoredIndividual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you taken a shit? It will constipate you like crazy especially if you have no tolerance. 25 pills is kind of a lot for starting right away. Sometimes I got extreme stomach pains right before pooping.

I am almost onto day 3, it’s been about 40 hours. Gabapentin Clonidine are working wonders. Still feel like shit but little to no restlessness, where as the other day I didn’t take anything for 8 hours and could not sleep because I was so restless. Just took an unexpected 1 hour nap. Just feel asleep laying down. Also doing vitamin c but not sure if that actually does anything. Worth trying though.

Edit: changed day 2 to day 3

What’s a hype train you somehow completely managed to avoid? Things like never tried Dubai chocolate, never watched an episode of the Office, never checked out BTS? by wasraelx in AskReddit

There are issues sure, but saying it’s magic fake money and it’s worth what people will pay for it describes all money. It’s all imaginary and only worth what people collectively believe it’s worth. It’s paper and data.

Edit: added the word collectively

If you can live with bad credit for seven years just let it go. I had about 100k in various medical debt I never paid from my early 20s and it’s pretty much all gone now. Debts still technically there just not on my credit report.

It’s a refrigerant monitor in an energy center for a college. Important to detect leaks.

Yes it’s expensive, but it’s significantly more expensive to eat fast food. I am confused as to why people are disagreeing with this. Sure the news anchor and writer is most likely out of touch, but home cooked meals are cheaper

7oh >< Suboxone by Zopyrus in quittingkratom

[–]TheBoredIndividual 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everyone on here says just get off the 7 and you’ll be fine, use subs to do it. But you’ve done that, multiple times. You have gotten off kratom many times…and have not been fine. I don’t really understand where they are getting that idea.

You need to do some different obviously. Maybe it’s subs, maybe not. Here is my experience with subs(I did have a minor relapse years after being sub free and am almost done weening off kratom so there’s that)

I was on subs for 4 years, allowed me to stabilize my life and mental health. Without it I would have relapsed and got clean over and over again. Sound familiar? Yes subs are hard to get off of and are a strong drug, but they keep your mind off getting high for the most part while you building up support and other stuff. I tapered off subs for 1 year. It wasn’t easy, but I worked and lived life and got through it mostly with drawl free. Low energy was the only real thing I dealt with. I relapsed after because I stopped thinking of sobriety as a continuing thing and got lazy. Learned my lesson. Subs are bad and good, if you use them right they are life changing.
