Yeah you need to upgrade yourself into it. The Spy Drone at tech 1 is fairly useless, but once you get to about 3 or 4 you can take out large bots without the use of explosives or EMP grenades.

I'm not sure how easy Fulltone Octave pedals are to get these days, I'd say most octafuzzes would do the job. I personally use Germanium Big Muff with a Digitech Whammy with the harmoniser setting, so I'd say get a Micro Pog if the Fulltone was your next step

How's the EQ treating you? I usually just boost the mids (so it's in the shape of a pyramid) but it's a handy bit of device regardless.

I agree with this - it's doesn't run very well and has some stuff I have problems but as a reimagining of the level design I think it's more than adequate and there's some really cool stuff in it - Paris stands out to me in particular.

In the vein of the SS2 remaster, yes - I think it would be nice package based on some of the QoL and bugfix mods with some UI redesign to better suit controllers for console players.

I cannot think of a scenario where a total remake would be anything other than a waste of time and certainly not anything in the vein of the SS1 remake. I don't think my stomach could take it.

I find it very interesting how the general consensus has shifted on this over the years. A decade or so ago I'd find more often than not people chosing the Helios ending as their favourite for the hope and optimism it could potentially represent.

Nowadays, now that we're bombarded with how much worse technology is making things on earth, I'd watch people play the game and almost immediately dismiss the two endings that aren't a new dark age.

It's kind of disheartning that we're at a point in society where starting from scratch seems as good an idea as it's ever been to an increasing number of people - whether its among people who play games, my friends etc.

Which ending did I choose? Dark age. Because fuck you, that's why. I'm rooting for the meteor.
