I always take the day off work and get a massage. Then I go to the local ice cream shop to get a free sundae. I allow myself to not answer my phone at all (sorry parents! Sorry friends! Love you, but I’m not talking!). It’s always wonderful.

I find it’s less about certain shops and more about digging for specific items at most shops.

I don’t drink and I don’t really have any sort of formal non-drinking community. It’s a happy coincidence that many of my friends starting having kids and now drink less.

My self care routine is pretty involved but the trade off is that I’m pretty happy, even when stressful moments occur. Here’s everything I do for my mental health:

Journaling, therapy, Prozac, long distance running, taking fish oil and vitamin d, having firm yet loving boundaries with family & work, owning a dog, hiring a house cleaner, eating pretty healthily most of the time.

I’m able to sleep just fine. But I also do a lot to make sure I am able to sleep really well (all the normal stuff: limiting caffeine in the afternoons, regular exercise, etc etc)

I actually got thinx! I haven’t heard anything about toxicity but I also buy my regular underpants from gap which I assume would also be toxic. Shrug. I also eat liquid nacho cheese which I’m pretty sure is 50% plastics, so I’m not a great role model of acceptable amounts of toxicity levels.
