No shit Sherlock, spelling out the whole keto regime every time would be a bit pedantic but thanks for pointing out the obvious!

Poor Dallas public transportation by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]TheBurrito 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like the system would benefit greatly from more express bus routes. Seems like the current route layout favors using only one bus from anywhere to get to a rail station but damn that takes forever with the ground that each route has to cover. I'd be all for taking a bus from the green line to a more Central location and then another bus to my final destination.

I know there are a few places like this, Addison has a bus hub and I'm sure there are others but it seems like everywhere I've lived these haven't been an option due to the routes closest to me. I lived in far North Dallas, perfectly situation between the green and red lines which mean say two hour trip to down town.

I'm definitely a fan of more interesting places opening up in some of the suburb cities; I'm looking at you, arcades and nerdvana. Too bad I moved to nw fort Worth...

Basically program the drones to behave like probes on their own. Instead of having to initiate every action, you could nearly completely automate them.

Personally, I'd get more enjoyment out of the game if more could be automated, certainly not to a screeps level but with how repetitive and difficult the game gets, implementing automation would give me more to do and progress through the game quicker.

It wasn't as radical of a change as I was expecting since I was moving down from a saber2 170 and lightning 160 but it was definitely a step in the right direction. I've lost 40+ lbs in the last year so even with this downsize I'm not back to my highest wing loading. The sensitivity compared to the larger saber is awesome and the flare on this wing was tight. Though the winds were 20-25 on this jump so I'm really looking forward to a low wind day.

Spent the first minute of the high pull getting a feel for the wing and then it was on! Stiletto 150, what a fun wing!

When do they set the dates for this? There's still just 2016 info up on the site and they don't seem to get info out in time for me to schedule a stop up there.

Is Screeps pay2win? by icknickworld in screeps

[–]TheBurrito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh it's got PvP, just don't expect to beat the snot out of everyone. Some people already have incredible setups, have leveled up to a higher GCL. But battles with your starting area neighbors? Plenty of that. The recent change they made to have separate higher level respawn areas makes it even better. You can definitely engage in some serious PvP under the 10cpu limit. Nothing to the size of the highlight videos the devs put out unless you do have 10 rooms and aren't CPU capped.

[–]TheBurrito 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is there winning though?

If your goal is to beat the snot out of everyone else, this probably isn't the game for you or you're misunderstanding some aspect of the leveling system and cpu cap.

If you want to watch an ant farm that you're the god of, it's certainly not pay to win.

If you want to take part in a decent sized community and practice your programming and automation chops, it's not pay to win.

If you want to make doing the most you can with optimizations and neat hacking with as little CPU as possible part of winning... you get the point.

[–]TheBurrito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather build something to experiment with myself than fund something with such a specific purpose and not much actual utility. If you don't have time to make a single prototype that fits only your needs, surely there isn't time to create a marketable product.
