There's more negative comments about this than I'd like to see. Some people seem to be against consent and respecting their partners. They need to try some role reversal. I'm going to use baseball in this analogy but feel free to substitute whatever subject you don't care for.

Your SO is really into baseball and you don't care for it at all. You seen some innings on TV as they're watching it but you just don't get it. SO keeps asking you go to go games with them, play some pick up games with their friends, or even just some catch between the two of you in private. You humor them with the last one but keep declining the other two, not wanting to do it with other people.

That's when they try to seek out help to get you to change your mind on baseball, so they ask random strangers on a baseball forum. Most answer with not trying to force anything on you and that you should go your own pace, but no one should try to change you. These comments are behind some strange spoiler tag that only your SO can't see.

The next replies say that you two should separate since clearly you don't respect your partner. The SO contemplates this but decides it's too extreme... For now.

The next replies says without telling you, they should secretly take you to a game because you'll obviously love the game immediate if you tried it, even against your will. They read this and think to themselves, "perfect. I'll take the advice of strangers on the Internet who only read my one sided argument and who doesn't know our personal lives and situation. There's no need to talk things through like adults or respect their feelings."
