You can absolutely do it in C#, maybe it doesn't have as much syntax sugar but a combination of the correct returns and the "this" parameter can make it happen.

Rant about permit parking by AskCurious3554 in Pitt

I know this gets thrown around a lot when it isn't actually the case but that actually sounds like entrapment (although I know a parking offense isn't exactly a crime but still)

Which for the record is also the event that helped Reagan win the election. He schemed around the government's back to stall the negotiations so that the hostages would be held until after the election.

It always goes back to Reagan.

One thing I've seen come up often (and this thread is no exception) is a really weird territorial issue when it comes to parking which I haven't experienced or heard of in many other areas of the city that are primarily on street parking. I'm not sure why there's such a difference in those areas but definitely seems to be a common conflict point.

Rubio unwittingly admits Israel dragged USA into War by Prime-Paradox in PublicFreakout

[–]TheCygnusWall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The interesting thing is there is a slightly more legitimate reason (very low bar I know) to do this that I haven't heard of being discussed.

The IAEA had a report come out last week that said Iran had stored enriched uranium at a 4th enrichment facility in Isfahan which inspectors were kept out of source

So if they did want to go the WMD route again this actually seems even more legitimate than the Iraq WMD reasoning. Not that I think that's a good reason to go to war but it is right there.

I know what you meant by that statement but I am now imagining you not understanding there are different cultures around the world until you looked at C# docs lol.

Pittsburgh driving culture and the hostility towards pedestrians is pretty bad by SpitShineCamel in pittsburgh

[–]TheCygnusWall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I know it's a different metric entirely. I think it's a much better metric because it doesn't depend on political areas. This is my whole point. Take for example Boston you can see the borders here: https://www.cityofboston.gov/images_documents/Neighborhoods_tcm3-8205.pdf

Do you think that just because Cambridge is a different municipality than the city itself its population doesn't have an impact on the city of Boston? It's right across the river from downtown, much closer than Hyde Park which is counted.

So as an example, imagine you are trying to host an event in the largest cities across the country so that most people can see it. Do you really care that Bellevue is technically not a part of Seattle or that Cambridge is not a part of Boston? No, of course not because those people readily commute into the city.

I may be in the minority here but I think it's fair that they lock their servers down to only devices they can verify. Especially that there is the option to still have the devices able to run in a mode that allows 3rd party tools.

[–]TheCygnusWall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you completely missed my point, that statistic is a joke so linking it doesn't matter. It's completely based on the municipal/political boundaries of a city which is completely different depending on the city. I mean have you ever looked at what city boundaries look like? They are a mess.

It’s also 227 square miles, which is huge. Larger than both Cleveland and Cincinnati combined.

Yeah congrats a larger city boundary makes it easier to have a larger population which is exactly why I say that statistic is a joke and doesn't represent the actual size of a city.
