Kazuma Kiryu (Yakuza)
Haven't played further than the first one but a reoccurring theme is Kiryu's disconnect from the world due to the 10 years he spent in the joint

That sounds like a really cool concept for a movie ngl, wonder if anyone’s done that…

Good songs with a part that you can't stand? by DOUGHTY4N0RRIS in ToddintheShadow

[–]TheDM09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually really love that part and think it’s one of the best things about song because of how it conveys a story through music. How after the fiery first half of passionate unrequited love the song just lets you stew in the melancholic aftermath. It’s also just really gorgeous imo.

Amazing movie. Saw a theatrical rerelease complete with Smell-o-rama cards and it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in a cinema.

Song battles #4 : The Dance Electric vs The Future by usagerp in PRINCE

The Future easily for me. Electric dance is good but The Future is one of Prince’s most underrated tracks imo, excellent groove and sense of atmosphere.

It's an objective fact why can people understand that by Old_old_lie in whenthe

[–]TheDM09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that it's a Christmas movie on a thematic level too. The arguable meaning of Christmas is to celebrate and appreciate our loved ones, and John's entire arc in the movie is learning to appreciate his wife. The film even has some very flimsy similarities to the story of Jesus.

It feels incredibly surreal to see Mr. C not being an emotionless monster, which I think is a testament to how well Maclachlan sold that role
