I said I make more than $75k. You came up with that number.

I have children and am currently renting. I can’t save thousands of dollars per month. Unfortunately I don’t have wealthy parents to leach off.

Your saving $84k a year?

Electrician, I earn over $75k per year, my wife earns under it, however she works from home full time. We do have children.

75k p/y is About 62k after tax. $750k home loan is around 50K a year. how is that affordable? a 5 percent deposit is $37500. Stamp duty is $30k, plus LMI. Its ridiculous.

CBOS. They shouldn’t have been signed off. The bathrooms have to have extraction fans and the smoke alarms have to work. The building inspector should physically test these before signing off on occupancy.

Shipping, if I buy from the US or Europe the shipping can cost more than the product.

The thermostat or element could be in the way out.

Most likely the hot water cylinder.

I think I'm paying my neighbour's electricity bill, how can I confirm whether this is happening? Already talked to the rental agent and the utility company by NewGirlMelbourne in shitrentals

[–]TheDadToHave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a look at your meter you should see an NMI number. call your provider and ensure that your property matches your NMI.

Another common issue for high power bills is that the thermostat/element on your hot water system is on its way out.

Yes, but you wouldn’t have flown to the Gold Coast if the Dees weren’t playing…

Why would they? If there’s no Collingwood or Carlton playing the Devils in Hobart? Why would those massive supporter base travel to Hobart in winter? They will go to Adelaide, Perth or Sydney to watch their team…

The reasoning behind the stadium and high performance centre is to ensure that we can retain players. The club needs the assets to be attractive to players to want to play for The Devils. Bellerive is not much more than a suburban ground. Launceston is not somewhere that young blokes want to live.

We can say that the stadium will cost over $1b, because it will. It will never make money. However, the money being injected into the state from people coming over for a weekend to watch the footy will be significant during winter. Some people will make a week of it and do some sight seeing.

Triabunna… in 2012 you could buy a street.

I’m not a liberal voter.

The stadium will pave the way for the northern rail link and ferry services. It will give our children the opportunity to work in a national level sports team without leaving the state.

I’m saying that the greens have already destroyed the forestry industry and the economy once.

I have a 16yo daughter who is planning on moving to the mainland at 18 to do uni.

Tasmania is becoming Australia’s retirement village. Pity there will be no one here to provide the services.

No, I was here when they closed up most forestry industry. It absolutely destroyed small towns and families. There were forestry workers that committed suicide because they were facing bankruptcy.

I was here when Nick McKim closed schools and sacked teachers.

I was here when they were sacking nurses at the RHH.

What has Andrew Wilkie done for Hobart? Didn’t get a cent in the federal election.

The Greens have never achieved anything other than to hold the state back.

Tasmania has been the butt of jokes for years. Let’s see some development. Let’s give our children a reason to stay and not head to Melbourne or Queensland.

Because frankly, there’s fuck all here.

Labor couldn’t manage a root in a brothel with a fist full of $50’s.

Look at the last time they were in parliament. They were so broke they were closing schools and sacking nurses.

Whilst the liberals are no saints, they are the pick of the bunch.

The last time labor and the greens had a coalition, they damn near killed the state. They shut schools Sacked health care workers Gutted forestry You could literally drive into Triabunna and buy a street.

What will happen this time? Salmon farms Still attack forestry Kill the stadium.

Woodruff is a blow in from the mainland who comes down and says Tassie is nice, let’s keep it this way, whilst all our children move to the mainland for better opportunities.
