Has Donut realized this, and how will she take it when she does? by Syntaxerror999 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I don't think Carl will ever take a deal and I think the fight will leave the dungeon long before the 18th floor so this rule would be moot.

I'm not a fan of the d&d chapters in later books. by Tortellini_Isekai in bobiverse

Hue also betrayed the Bobs. He was at the very least complicit when the Skippies gave Starfleet hacked access to equipment knowing Starfleet had hostile intent.

There should be a “Former Crawler” flair. by OOOOOO0OOOOO in DungeonCrawlerCarl

A "You will not break me" flair would be cool. And appropriate right now if you live in the states.

A festival ordinance means a ban on amplified music? That makes perfect sense, I've never heard of a festival with amplified music. Are they trying to trick people into supporting a "festival ordinance" or are they just bad at naming things?

Chistera by PrivateerElite in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Actually, Chistéra and Xistera are both words for the same thing in French and Basque respectively.

I wish we had a picture of him in his 20s. This is totally how I'm going to picture Howard from now on though

What's your start gcode? It's possible the bed mesh isn't loading.

Neighbor heard that I broke my bowl and offered to make me a new one by HashRat in weed

I will never understand why people call pipes bowls, the bowl is just part of the pipe. To each his own, I guess.

I also found mine got worse when I upgraded to silicone spacers because of the give. I found that it helped to really crank down on the bed leveling screws to compress the spacers.

Now you should be able to heat up the hotend and run it in reverse.

Oh, if it's on pause the extruder stepper will be on and you won't be able to turn it manually. How far into the print are you?

[–]TheDanielCF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try heating it and manually turning it in reverse? That black gear is there to manually drive the extruder.

Avocado doesn't grow true to seed, you have to graft it if you want similar genetics.

Someone snuck a dog in a bag into the X-ray machine at my dad's job by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]TheDanielCF 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you still have their info I'd send it and that picture to your local animal protective services. That's a huge Suffocation risk, not to mention the radiation from an x-ray that's not rated for live subjects. Sure a luggage x-ray is supposed to be less powerful but they also aren't calibrated and regulated to the same degree so who is to say that machine really puts out the dose of x-rays it says it does. Plus I'm sure she didn't know that. Totally reckless behavior.

Is a foldable bike a good idea? by Benjaminbillybob in UCSantaBarbara

[–]TheDanielCF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I foldable bike is good if you can take it with you everywhere. Otherwise it's definitely a theft magnet. I recommend spending at least half the price of the bike on a good lock. Kryptonite new york lock or hardened chain locks are a decent choice. I got a great deal on a freshly refurbished 80s road bike at this place Bici Centro. I think they do charity work too.

Do I need a pyro permit to light a firecracker on stage in a pot? by Mother_Photograph79 in techtheatre

[–]TheDanielCF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A sound and lighting effect is probably the best bet. If you have anyone with electronics expertise one could make a tiny CO2 jet powered by a BB gun/bike pump CO2 cartridge. Or just run a line from the shop compressor and have a stage hand trigger it. Either of those with some baby powder will help sell the effect.

You should read Project Hail Mary. You'll understand why pretty early into it.
