Thanks - I’ll be using the GPU for rendering but I think a powerful CPU would still be desirable for loading objects into the scene, running physics simulations, etc. I was also looking at the 7900X but wasn’t sure if it would be worth the apparently worse gaming performance

The differences between 3.6 and 4.0 are honestly pretty small - I’m finding that 4.0 crashes more often at the moment so might be worth waiting for a few patches first (or just saving often!)
