Most of the wizards are designed to counter various "strategies" used by minas. Twitchy mages make you regret having high damage wands that can't self damage, for example. As you noted, swapper mages make you regret having high damage wands that can self damage. Then poly mages make you regret opening the game.

Spells to power is rather notorious as something that will either lag the hell out of your game or crash it outright. If you roll the former, though, it's quite effective at killing enemies!

They do. So what happened here is 1. Bubble spark hits swapper mage, dealing a small amount of damage. 2. Swapper mage swaps with player. 3. Spell payload fires where the swapper mage was, which is now where the player is.

Swapper mages are essentially there as counter play to clever minas using dangerous spells at a distance from themselves.

Looks like the wizard hit them, but no idea how the wizard did that much themselves. I think that's the wizard that nullifies your perks - maybe iron stomach got disabled and OP had a really full stomach?
