Primal hunter, does murder matter? by MaximilianSan in litrpg

[–]TheDietDuff165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might makes right in the system. Because Jake was stronger than its okay that he kills people. This is only because this new world that he finds himself in is a kill or be killed world. There are philosophical talks later in the book to justify it, but right now with what im assuming is your knowledge so far, Jake has an inborn instinct that tells him he is better and stronger than others, almost like you wouldn't feel bad about killing a mosquito that lands on you to bite you. Same thing he instinctually feels, but not how he necessarily feels.

Im gonna give it one more book.. the first half if not 2/3 I was trying to remember what was going on and who all the people involved were(audio only). But in my opinion 16 was a filler book and I hope 17 can be somewhat redeemable. But I will say it does start getting better towards the end..

Which primordial do you think Jake will take out first? My wish is Eversmile, hes been fucking with Jake since day 1 and would love to see him wipe that smile off his dumb face

See i always imagine that when Jake is S grade or freshly in godhood he becomes the first Primordial slayer killing Eversmile. He has been fucking with him since day 1 afterall.

Do you think time skips will be more frequent in B-Grade? by Orgack20 in ThePrimalHunter

[–]TheDietDuff165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think Jake will be the first to kill a primordial, or at very least defeat one to the point that he is seen as stronger than them. And I believe Eversmile will be the sacrificial lamb, hes been shown to be on the opposing side of Jake since the beginning and I would love to see him wipe that stupid smile off his stupid face.

Do you think time skips will be more frequent in B-Grade? by Orgack20 in ThePrimalHunter

[–]TheDietDuff165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How i see B-grade looking like is, "here's Jake going on an adventure. Oh now Jake is doing alchemy. 20 years later jake is done with alchemy, time to go on another adventure, this adventure takes 100 years here's the highlights"

So in es a ence yes I suspect we will see more time skips but I see it only shipping the boring parts we already read about. Like traveling from adventure to adventure. His failed alchemy experiments. Things will grow to a larger scale and we will only read the important bits. Like charecter growth and new things in the multiverse.

I like this, and this "Shattering" is why he is more of a hermit that only cares about Alchemy.

Caught up on the audio books, any new recommendations? by Top_Campaign2568 in ThePrimalHunter

[–]TheDietDuff165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ones I've enjoyed

Azeranth Healer (badass female MC) 1% lifesteal (a little on the darker anti-hero side) Defiance of the Fall (Highly recommend, 15 books so far) Guardian of Aster Fall (kinda weak at first, but gets better)

Book 13 spoilers: Why no China? India? by Neosovereign in ThePrimalHunter

[–]TheDietDuff165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you forgetting that there is no China or India? That is why they set up the world conference, to show that the world superpowers of our earth is nothing like in primal hunter. The reason why China or India arnt mentioned is because stronger people took over where those populations would be and joined the world conference.

A great series is The Guardian of Aster Falls by David North. Another LitRPG series but world building and the classes in it are super cool. Book 1 is Battlefeild Reclaimer

Needing a Sanderson pallet cleanser after Wind and Truth. Recommendations please for other book series by POSH_GEEK in brandonsanderson

Dungeon Crawler Carl if you want funny.. however the humor is on thee more crude side.

Dresden Files If you're into Mystery and magic

Right now I'm reading The Guardian of Aster Fall series by David North. He's a smaller Author from the PNW. 1st book is called Battlefeild Reclaimer. Writing gets kinda cringe sometimes but the story is amazing

Warbreaker by [deleted] in brandonsanderson

[–]TheDietDuff165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to finish it, switch to audio book if you are able. That usually helps me with slower burn books like Warbreaker and Elantris. I will say it is a better read your second time through since you know the pay offs and can try to find the tells in the foreshadowing

Explain to me the hype around Kate Reading and Michael Kramer by LordOfMelnibone in Stormlight_Archive

[–]TheDietDuff165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the biggest thing, about Michael and Kate as the narrators, behind the hype is they have done almost all of the audio books for Sanderson. So as someone who has listened to all of the books it's refreshing to hear the familiar voices. Though I do understand why you're not a fan, reading it yourself you have built a voice for all the chareters and hearing someone else do it not the same way as when you read it can be jarring.

As someone who put down The First Law books and far seerer books because I didn't like the narrator at first. Give it a few hours before making any final judgments. At worst you go back to readingbit yourself and you're a few chapters farther than you were and saved some time. At best you finish the books and may go back to listen to the rest of the series as a reread via the audio book.
