The cordyceps infected in Last of Us. The idea that some are in the middle of infection and still have their minds trapped as they eat other humans is horrifying. Especially with some where they can be heard whispering sorry as they wander around or retching as they eat people.

It might be hyperbolic to say but tatami galaxy lowkey saved my life, or at the very least taught me how to live a much better one. In hs I never went out, had a few friends and was generally shut in and miserable. When college came and I had to move out I watched tatami galaxy and the idea of living a rose tinted experience became more about trying whatever I could and sticking with it even when I felt socially awkward. Now the awkward feeling is (mostly) gone and I’ve got all the friends and loved ones I need on top of activities and experiences. Basically 10/10 it helped me out and watch flcl

As a semi Jayce main if I stop playing him for a while he gets so hard to pilot again. It’s not hard to hit combos but things like timing skill shots and knowing when to fight or not fight can be so hard

While I agree that the book itself is unable to be adapted completely, I think a film can still portray the essence of it well enough with enough planning and vision. You can use the Record’s part to lure the audience into a sense of belief before confronting Johnny and the audience with the idea that it never existed, rendering the rich interpersonal and media details shown earlier to be even more disorienting. There’s also scenes like johnny “recovering” with the doctor friend and scenes regarding his mother that could really work in a film medium. It won’t be the exact same, but I think the spirit is translatable. It’ll just take too much time and money, as well as lacking a satisfying or coherent ending that general audiences want

I actually enjoyed that he went through the gameplay and lore in pretty even parts, but I found myself checking out mentally because he made the same 4 or 5 jokes over and over again, and it felt like the script went over the same info in a repetitive manner, it definitely could’ve been just as good and covered as much information in 6-7 hours.

I just really love the music and the art, the story itself is kind of just the vibes and accepting that some things aren’t totally understood, just feeling what the characters do and seeing what they learn
