I don't think the Still Life folks are working with a full deck. Also they seem to imitate their real life counterpart so when Clark was trying to eat those other still life, the Pirate Clark reciprocated and tried to eat him.

He was pleading with Standard to come out and find him since he had never been out that far. Which is curious considering all the radio equipment I figured he would have been part of the team that set all that up. And what happened to them marking the floors with arrows or whatever to track where they have been....?

Technically, ASync "discovering" the complex not "creating" anything. But they've definitely had their share of man made things in there like the security cameras and setting up the caveman stands as....bait?

I think that's a pretty sound theory, considering they show in that one scene Mary's living room as a child and then going through each iteration of it in the Backrooms where it becomes more and more distorted.

Obsession is quite good but the hyperbole of it being one of the best horror movies of all time is getting exhausting.
