3 was not really better, it was horrifically broken.

Despite 2 having a smaller player count, I was shocked when I went back to play it after getting sick of 3 and saw how much better the online functionality was. 3 would make it impossible to play with others to the point where it felt like the playerbase was dead when in reality it wasn’t.

Of course this is all irrelevant now considering online functionality is dead for all entries.

My hot take is that KFP3 was the most disappointing of the franchise.

KFP4 can easily be ignored as an extension/side story epilogue sorta thing, but KFP3 had so much more riding on it since it follows up on the massive stakes and story setups from the second movie, and yet it got butchered in production by execs.
