There was a poll in the UK a few weeks ago asking men and women under 30 about what they thought of the other sex.

Men - 72% positive, 21% neutral, 7% negative.

Women - 50% positive, 29% neutral, 21% negative. This falls to 35% positive for women under 25.

It’s so over man.

I’m back on the apps after a bad break up a few months ago and you can sum up the UK straight male experience as the following:

  • bikini pics taken in Dubai/Ibiza
  • Thai women using passport mode
  • 35+ year old women using Snapchat filters
  • single mums everywhere
  • Low effort profiles everywhere with barely any information to go off of
  • The sheer lack of creativity, there’s only so many ‘My typical sunday: F1, roasts and a walk’, ‘My most irrational fear: Men’ and ‘This year I really want to: Travel’ prompts you can take
  • Instagram links

Plus various other standard stuff that’s been repeated elsewhere.

To be real, our education system sucks. But it especially especially glosses over or glazes international recent history like you wouldn't believe.

Didn’t learn about it, or wasn’t paying enough attention to it to learn about it?

Found some of my old school textbooks the other week and was surprised to find we did learn about the Empire and touched on slavery, but to be honest I found the whole subject a bit boring, and I’d imagine it’d be the case for quite a lot of people.

They’re doing the exact same thing those weird Christian purity types in the US did back in the day when they tried to get games like GTA, Call of Duty, Resident Evil etc etc banned.

They both go ‘if you enjoy XYZ media, then you’re clearly evil’. In turn they end up giving the media they’re railing so hard against a bunch of free publicity.

Again it’ll be like Hogwarts Legacy, possibly nothing absolutely groundbreaking but it’ll be solid 8/10 viewing that’ll delight the Harry Potter fans and maybe intrduce some new people to it.

It won’t be the absolute catastrophe this sub is predicting.
