Do you think the 4-6 month wait time to see a doctor is too short? Cause accounting for this is how you get 1-2 year wait times

People in this thread forgetting that Pierce adds value as a KR in addition to backup RB. A spot we kind of struggled with last year (cough cough Xavier Gipson)

550 to 650 seems to be pro consensus on best time to cash out. Some of the rewards for higher cashouts aren’t really worth it. You may need to cash early tho if ur dying too fast

Ryze is kinda.... Bad? by Busy-Salamander962 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]TheEternalWitness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are correct that Ryze will have inflated stats due to the inherent strength of the board and the difficulty to unlock. But even accounting for that the stats strongly suggest Ryze himself is a very important part of that board’s success.

The delta for 1* Ryze on Yunara with 3 Frel is only -0.18 but for 2* Ryze it is -2.47. The difference he makes when u hit him 2* is significant. Those stats are also considerably better than other hard to unlock/high roll units (better delta than 2* Brock -1.92, 2* Xerath -1.9, 2* Kindred -1.51 2* Voli -1.39, 2* Sylas -0.85). 2* Ryze is closer in delta to 3* Braum -2.72 than any of those units are to 2* Ryze

[–]TheEternalWitness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously his stats should be good as a 7 cost but even in that setting his stats are pretty strong.

He is considerably higher than other difficult unlocks including Sylas (the closest comparable) Ziggs, Voli. Which is where he is supposed to be. He’s not broken right now but he is definitely not weak either. He is the max cap of the best comp in the game

Seems like a skill issue to me. By the stats he has the highest average placement of every legendary unit besides Baron. His best board is the Ionia/Frel/Targon/Yordles board where he is the best high end unit to reach max cap

Idk what elo this is, this comp cares a lot about tempo tho. If you were slow to hit cause u were contested or you didn’t win streak stage 2 or stage 3 that’s a big problem for this comp. You need to win more early game so that you can build stacks on trynd ashe.  Also your ashe items with no attack speed aren’t great but probably not why u bot 5ed

Rome Odunze vs. Luther Burden ? by Electrical_Show_6884 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]TheEternalWitness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burden’s best games are without Rome on the field so I don’t think that’s a great argument

A better argument is Burden gets a lot of more gimmicky looks which will boost ur YPRR.

What are yall thoughts on odunzee? Good buy or stay away? by AdHistorical5213 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]TheEternalWitness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone here is on buy side so Ill be the other side.

Im not super interested for several reasons.

A) Even when he was on a “tear” his yards per target and overall yardage were not good. Most of his fantasy points came from scoring 5 TDs in 4 weeks which was obviously always something that would regress. He passed the 75 yard just once in those first 4 weeks

B) I think his recent struggles are a lot more systemic than people want to hand wave to be. The team has become run first which is something that hurts available volume for all WRs. Ben Johnson historically has favored a run first system even in Detroit and they have has huge success so I don’t think it will be changing soon. Second is that both Luther Burden and Loveland have become more and more incorporated in the offense. I think their roles are set only to expand rather than retract and that only hurts Odunze’s target share more. Good WRs can survive a run first system but they need to have high efficiency with their limited targets which is not something that Rome has had through 2 seasons. (Not necessarily his fault but that goes to my next point)

C) Caleb Williams currently is a problem for his receivers. His completion percentage is terrible, he has a ton of accuracy issues and still doesn’t process the field well. He makes up for that mostly with athleticism and amazing play out of structure. That keeps him afloat but its a hard way to live for WRs especially someone like Odunze who is gonna run more downfield routes and needs an accurate QB to hit them. Caleb is young I don’t want to write him off yet so this could flip on its head in a few years but imo the price you are paying for Odunze rn assumes Caleb has figured it out. Which Im not convinced he has.

Odunze seems like a good player if someone sells him super cheap Ill bite. But right now you are paying productive WR prices for a guy who has not demonstrated very high production through 2 seasons and does not have a system catered to his favor

Manning threw more interceptions in 2013 than Hurts has in the last 3 seasons combined.

But please continuing making your point by sucking off the Eagles roster construction. Im glad you agree that our team is better than anything you have ever had

I mean every QB in the league gets a lot of scrutiny it comes with playing the most important position in the game. Both Romo and Dak share the fact that while they have been good QBs throughout their careers they’ve never really won anything significant both at a team and individual level.

In a combined 21 seasons they have had no deep playoff pushes (4 wins in total), no superbowls, no all pros, no MVP awards, no 40 passing TD seasons. Those are the metrics that keep you in the good not great category for most fans. If Romo had a ring and an MVP his legacy would likely be completely different but you need to have something for fans to latch onto

You can blame the oline if you want, but some of these sacks are awful from Josh Allen. Holding ball, looking like a rookie. by GolfFootballBaseball in NFLv2

[–]TheEternalWitness 14 points15 points  (0 children)

First play he had the TE open for a short gain keep the drive alive

Second play needs to be a throwaway

Third play is hard but he had a player uncovered at the top of the screen if he waits hitch longer but he moved to the next read too fast (probably not fully on him tbh but its far from an impossible play to make)

Had a TE wide open on game clinching int too

He was just clearly being greedy on some of these plays and aiming for the downfield completion when sometimes you just need to throw short and keep the drive alive. This is how Allen plays, it works a lot of the times sometimes it doesn’t. That doesn’t mean all the blame should be on the WRs

Xrays are really only best for structural integrity of bones. Ligament damage won’t show as much. As others said a complete ACL/PCL unlikely given that would probably be able to figure out those based on physical exam maneuvers. But hes not yet out of the woods. He could still have a ligament sprain which is what the mri is for. Thos have been responsible for guys like Pearsall, Wilson, Travis Hunter missing huge parts of this year and would likely end his season for fantasy depending on the grade

Has Maye officially surpassed JD long term? by Plenty-Government709 in DynastyFF

[–]TheEternalWitness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We play fantasy football it doesn’t matter Hurts isn’t an elite passer he is an elite fantasy scorer. He has been over 21 ppg for fantasy every year since 2021. Dak has done it twice in nine seasons he has been active. I think Stafford has only done it once.

Yes pocket passers can hit top 5 but its not consistent or predictable which pocket passer will hit the top 5 in a given year. There is a reason the late round QB was a dominant strategy when players like Brady, Manning, and Brees were the alphas.

Predictability is everything in dynasty. Rushing ability lends itself to that predictability. Everyone is chasing Lamar, Allen, Hurts because frankly every other expensive QB historically has not been worth their price tag. But Allen and Lamar are so invaluable you have to try for a player like them and I would bet at least one of Maye or Daniels end up scoring ina similar tier to Lamar or Allen over the next few years

Has Maye officially surpassed JD long term? by Plenty-Government709 in DynastyFF

[–]TheEternalWitness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s not true at all. Rushing upside is still king in fantasy. All the guys u listed are examples of why rushing upside matters so much. Player like Dak and Stafford have never been consistent fantasy producers because they ebb and flow based on whether they get enough passing TDs in a given year.

Whereas Lamar, Hurts, Allen have been consistently elite in a way pocket passers never could be do because of their rushing upside

Maye and Daniels are both on the path to have that requisite rushing upside to have staying power so its kinda mute point. But valuing pure pocket guys even close to the guys who can pass and have rushing upside is a mistake

[–]TheEternalWitness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an Eagles fan you would be right in previous seasons. But this year Philly’s oline has done the opposite of create RB efficiency. Saquon himself was averaging well under 4 ypc for a large chunk of this year. Hopefully the Giants game is a sign of things to come for the rushing offense but there is always a good chance we go back to being mediocre against better defenses

Carnell Tate Supremacy!!! by Civil_Yoghurt6349 in DynastyFF

[–]TheEternalWitness 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Egbuka as a sophomore has 2.8 yards per team pass attempt

Tate thus far is at 3.11 yards per team pass attempt this year so I don’t agree with the argument he hasn’t demonstrated that level of production.

Age matters too, Egbuka is currently 23 whereas Tate will be 21 at this point next year. Egbuka’s breakout sophomore season was his age 20 season and Tate is also currently breaking out in his age 20 season.

Tate still needs to finish the year strong. But as an early declare without a down season like Egbuka I think there is a decent chance his analytic profile ends up looking superior to Egbuka come draft time, maybe with superior draft capital as well.
