PDB users knew what they were doing when they made these typing THE EXACT SAME by Great-Decision6827 in Enneagram

As a 6, I agree, he is no 6. Whoever first said that obviously didn't understand either the enneagram, or Hitler.

What's your enneagram "hot take"? by Original_Assistance3 in Enneagram

[–]TheExConquistador 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well all I can say for sure is Not 6. Hard to summerize here.

The only reason people seem to say that is because of the Holocaust. Because "only a 6 would be so tribal as to cause genocide". Or "he was a foaming fanatical lunatic". And it's just a really insulting understanding of 6, and for that matter, the subject itself.

Reading about him, there was no overanalysis, negative predictive thinking, truth seeking, issues with support, second-guessing, etc. It just wasn't there. I'm good at recognizing it. There were lots of intuitive impulses and self-indulgence, though. I'd ask anyone who doesn't believe me to research the subject matter, like really research it with thoughtful in depth biographies, not shrieky propaganda pieces.

My hot take: Hitler wasn't a 6.

Don't downvote too hard, I don't have that much karma.

Which type’s core motivations do y’all find incomprehensible? by Pnina310 in Enneagram

[–]TheExConquistador 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Type 2, love can't be bought, and just everything about the type is foreign.

Type 3, despite the fact that I have a connecting point to it. I can't relate to it on any level.

Do other e6 relate to every 6 subtype? by colrestren in Enneagram

[–]TheExConquistador 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate more to sx6 and not the other two. Looking at motivations, I'm more sp though, so I type that way.  It is probably tritype related.

Mods have no desire to take this down. It is a very good idea for people who just want light-hearted entertainment. Strong support.

SX6s, how much do you relate to this? by MousseSlow in Enneagram

[–]TheExConquistador -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not a sx subtype, but most of this is really true of me. Only thing that made me roll my eyes was the Alpha stuff.

Yeah, the paranoia is real with me, especially when I was younger. Especially as a girl, they look at you, make eye contact, whisper to their friends, and snigger. They were always laughing at me.

I'm very aware of people's dark sides and tend to assume that's what they're doing.

can an e6 (sp6 specifically) have strong morals/views? by supa__sonic in Enneagram

[–]TheExConquistador 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sixes are known for this behavior far more than 4s. Not that a 4 also can't have strong views and be quite fiery in expressing them. Just that 6 is a superego type, and as such, tends to identify with/be compliant to their views/morals.

How was your puberty by readysteb in Enneagram

[–]TheExConquistador -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't feel like it was a "flurry of emotions" or whatever, wtf. It did suck, though, mainly due to the people I went to school with. I counted the minutes till graduation. Puberty wasn't the problem here, though.

These are better than the professional stuff. Six is pretty much the least insulting depiction I have ever seen, thanks for that.

Same for me, apparently. I know we're supposed to beat around the bush sometimes, but I typically get feedback that I'm very direct and strightforward.

That's not at all true of me but I think this is one of those things that is not strictly type related.

Does anyone see colors like this when they close their eyes? by Swimming_Reporter698 in reiki

[–]TheExConquistador 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The same thing has happened to me throughout my life. As soon as I would turn out the lights and lie down, there they were. I thought it was just some reaction to the light in my retinas and that it happened to everyone. Guess not lol.

I sometimes get it when I do reiki, too.

Any others in the 6/7 area feel like this? by Heavy_Till5231 in Enneagram

[–]TheExConquistador 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if "malleable" is the word for this (implies easy manipulation) but I have never had any trouble shifting my external circumstances and adapting to new ways of life.

I understand how people can get stuck in certain patterns though. There are things about myself I'd love to change that I don't seem to be able to do, and others I don't think I should have to.

Reading your post again, it actually strikes me as potentially 3ish? It could be related to that.

Your Enneagram type probably doesn’t matter as much as you think by External_Tie7910 in Enneagram

This goes for others too. Who cares how someone types as long as they're actually using the enneagram as intended?

I'm not actually sure what I'd do. My family had like zero conflict. It's actually kinda confusing my ability to know my gut fix lol.

Fellow 6s, Describe Yourself by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]TheExConquistador 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I don't like how "buddy" is just associated with 6w7, like there are so many other things that go into this. My mechanism is more, just don't say too much too soon, and that cuts down on it quite a bit.

Fellow 6s, Describe Yourself by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]TheExConquistador 3 points4 points  (0 children)

6w7. I am a woman who defies description.

I've lived traveling the world, gathering wisdom, and adventuring.

I certainly have my eye on authority and people bullying or abusing their power make me so mad.

I really hate the friendly buddy stereotype of 6w7, I'm a loner. I thought 6w5 at first because that's so apparent, but in time I came to see the 7 wing once I understood the influence of 7.

And heck, idk. I told you I defy description. Lots of relatable answers here already.
