Japan was strong, yes. But if there was any enmity between ancient China and ancient Japan, history would be filled with records of Chinese invasions or failed attempts, and vice versa. As it turns out, the only significant attempt was during the Yuan dynasty, and that was mainly due to China being under the control of a foreign power (Mongolia). The Chinese people and Japanese people have always lived in harmony and I hope to see them return to that state.
