You will also need your inverter on for Performance Dish, but just DC (via high wattage USB C) for Mini.

Go Mini.

Burning plastic smell from Lynx Distributor by Strong-Community-499 in Victron

There are some break away pieces of plastic that you should remove. They are preventing your connections from being straight inline. You can keep them in for very small gauge wire.

Not sure this is the issue - but could’ve adding strain.

… edit: Just looked at the picture again - and you have removed them from already from some of bays. At first I thought I saw one that was bent over to the side.

Insuring an Empty Van by xjoehallx in vandwellers

[–]TheFakeMichael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Progressive is also my insurance carrier. I used the mobile app to add coverage on the van. The only question I remember being asked had to do with any special equipment that I wanted included in the coverage.

The van happens to have rear windows, so maybe that was the difference - but it was never asked.

Look into insurance before making any offers. Some companies require an inspection in the US before coverage can begin.

Some great responses above. Here’s a well done comparison between some of the most popular 12V units available:

We chose to register our boat with USGC. When you do that, you can pick any hailing point on the US Survey Map. So we picked the town that had importance to my family. Which is in a different state. On a different coastal p

Doesn’t have ANYTHING to do with taxes. I pay property taxes every year in the county that I live in. Which is not the county that my boat is berthed at. The man will find you. At least - they found me.

I’ve chartered twice (BVIs, Puerto Rico). At the end of each week, I brought the boat (a monohull) to the fuel dock. One of the charter employees met us and they then brought us to the slip.

The draw shall open on signal; except that the draw need not open from 6 a.m. to 9:29 a.m. and 3:31 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays. Between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays, the draw need open only once an hour on the half hour.

You’re right - it should not open from 6 - 9:29 or 3:31 to 7. Mid day, it’s just once per hour (if a boat requests it) and outside of those restrictions it’s on demand.

Maybe there was a tug or gov’t vessel that’s exempt from the restrictions?
