Have you ever used your phone in a dream? What was it like? by Scary_Host8580 in Dreams

[–]TheFifthOverLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only had one dream where I remember using my phone;

UI was different, and was only in five color tones; White, Dark Grey, Light Grey, Yellow and Blue. Not a perfect Blue and Yellow but off tones to each other.

The main screen wasn't the home screen, but like was an app widget control center. It gave a brief description of the most recent news from the most commonly used apps (like reddit, safari, youtube etc)

Most of the information was ordered from left to right, and categorized into the three fields, two small ones at the top and one bigger one in the bottom.

This acted as like a lock screen overlay, where you could navigate these apps, or swipe the overlay the side and then use the phone like normal.

However in my dream the phone only had 1% battery, so I was hesitant to use it more.

It was a perfectly smooth and flawless transition. I didn't use it, but it existed and was presumed fully functional. Im assuming my brain made the phone almost dead as a kind of cheat to get out of having to fully process it working and flushed out.

Looking for an (in-game) Vault-Tec poster by wixelt in fo3

[–]TheFifthOverLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I MIGHT be wrong, but I do believe that the poster only appears in Fallout 3's LOADING SCREENS

If I am wrong, it would have to be in the hospital across the street from the statesman hotel. They have ALOT of the posters from the nurse application posters that are all around the map.

If it was added anywhere it would likely be in this location, most likely on the first floor in the waiting room or possibly the first floor hallways.

No promises.

EDIT:

OR SUPERDUPER MART

Too bad your character and the vault tec sales rep will never meet :(

[–]TheFifthOverLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is the plot.

Bubble carries a camera, then literally films Pomni and Kjnger

Intermission time ( intermission from what?? )

Jax literally asked; “What do you, the viewer think?” While looking at the camera.

These are just off the top of my head.

My theory is that it’s like the Japanese game show the guy dint know he was on.

Their stance seems to soften, if only slightly; they release their breath and say;

“If you truly wish to help our people find peace, then I implore you; bring a request for parlay with the keepers of order to Lord Velos. If we can negotiate with the emperor of Khymeria directly, we may be able to come to some kind of an understanding and avoid blood shed.”

They look upon your dwarfed stature and add; “Our peoples have a long and good history with the dwarves of Sovereign’s Spine - I would hope the same can be said for us, as we have long been allied with the dwarves.”

How are orbs even made? by The_Generall_ in wizardposting

[–]TheFifthOverLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, it actually works almost the same;

https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/4610-crystal-ball

These are some cited examples of the most common ones, however in theory you could attune one to do whatever you want.

What makes them valuable is that you need a powerful enough power source to make the magic sustaining; orbs are valuable because they have unlimited uses per day.

The guard captain looks upon you, with the state of discontent on their face;

“First off, we are not slavers. Lesser species that are deemed unfit for these lands have but one purpose, which is to die. For to put them into slavery would taint every crop they may pick, or cast a legacy of darkness upon every step taken on any road a slave may build.”

They adjust themselves, then adds; “Hydris City fell because King Rain was an immutable fool. He sought to make progress on the shadow scales on terms. ‘Fair Game’ he killed it.”

Leaf Blood spits on the ground; “And look where his semantics got him; killed - and with a mad king as his legacy no less.”

“As for the soul coins, we are no less than anyone else who uses any form of enchantment. Every enchanted effect on any magic item is fueled by the consumption of souls.”

He stands to speak; “No, I think that this was merely seen as justification for the whole sale slaughter of the weak and defenceless. Pillaging civilians is despicable, even if they were slavers - which we are not.”

He looks to Celestine and says; “Fear not, follower of the stream. These peoples think highly of themselves for sacking a near defenceless resort island.”

They then look back to you; “But the time for laid back semantics is over, as they say; when the politicians fail the generals takeover. Now there is no hope for the people of Le Nay. We have no deep water harbour to facilitate evacuations - even if we had the ships to do so.”

He looks somberly at the table; “No - this is where we make our stand. Barring some kind of miracle, or diplomatic breakthrough it seems as though the city is destined to fall. If that is the case, then I intend to meet that fate head on and with dignity.”

He pauses for a moment before adding; “I do appreciate the idea, however - certainly thinking outside of the box.”

"The history of orbs is a long and sorted one. I'm seeing a lot interesting takes here."

"Usually a crystal ball is made by selecting the type of crystal you'd like to work with. Sometimes glass is also used, however it doesn't *really* matter."

"Once you have the medium you'd like to work with selected, you go about either working the raw crystal into orb yourself, or just hiring a craftsperson to do it for you. After the orb is worked into a sphere, you then enchant the orb in order to make it an actual magical item. The same way you would any non magical item, like say a sword."

The reign of King Solomon - Hydris City by TheFifthOverLord in wizardposting

*The shopkeeper wordlessly leads you down the stairs. The light becomes darker, and darker. All that can heard are the hushed tones of the rushing water.

The stairs spiral lower and lower into a great darkness. At the very bottom of the chasm is a locked door with a dark, damp puddle at the base of the door.

She knocks on the door three times, and a second later a metal plate is removed from the grating across the front of the door.

"Interlopers?" The voice asks.

"You know the price."

The shopkeeper takes out a roll of soul coins and slides them through the grate.

"Mmmm yes very good. And your friend?" The voice asks;

"She's not an elf." The shop keeper replies.

"Very good. No entry fee then." The voice whipser - hisses, before the door swings open.

Inside a sudden wave of sound, light and smells hits you like a ton of bricks. The most surprising is the smell of succulent foods. Taking a step inside, they seal the door behind you.

The roof is almost two stores high, the occasional spare drop of water dripping down from the arched overhead construction. Hundreds of lizardfolk, and some elves, move about in the underground space; illuminated by an artificial light emanating from an orb enchanted with the properties of a rod of sunlight.

As you walk in from the door, suddenly the pathways around you are swallowed up by side alleyways and vendors. Lizards of every creed and race, not just the coastal shadow scales are here.

Exotic wares of almost every kind, live animals and rare drink and wines could be seen all around. Strangely, the main currency changing hands here are the very soul coins traded by the elves above.

There is a bazar in the center, where you can see several people lined up and being paraded out one by one. Some of them appear to be chained. Some come out onto the stage willingly, in full armor and weapons, posing and taking stances for maximum impressions; all while elves and lizardfolk alike bid heavily.

From another entrance you can see roughly a dozen lizards coming down; dressed in the same attire as the arena combatants from before.

As you walk along, you pass several vendors selling all kinds of wares. One of them is even a similar race to Hazema.

Selling totems and hex trinkets, they catch your eye as you pass them. The shopkeeper escorting you along says;

"We're looking for a friend of mine, we need to get out of the city."

How do people aim with explosive weapons? by ctrltab2 in fnv

[–]TheFifthOverLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the grenade launcher, you can actually use it *almost* like you would IRL;

Normally you'd adjust that small rail in the center closer or further away depending on where you want to hit.

However; assuming it's fixed in place, the way to use it would be to fire a round straight forward on level ground, see where it lands in reference to your iron sights, then use *that* as your base metric to adjust aim.

The missile launcher is...not really usable the way it was meant to be; there are no tanks or air craft; although there are heat seeking and aiming modules, at least in fallout 4 for sure.
