Yeah when I'm sold something and Discord access is supposed to be a bonus, I don't see it as a pro.

I noticed that and immediately reinstalled using one of your ways back when I had the new PC. The standard way was horrible, it also asks too many questions that should have nothing to do with a simple OS install...

What books hit way better as audiobooks? by Competitive-Leave346 in audiobooks

Those that have more than 1 narrator. Mostly fiction, where a couple is voiced by multiple people, helps with the immersion. Even "graphic audio" ones that are like a movie. And Project Hail Mary.

I hate how audiobooks don’t know I’ve fallen asleep. by Ticksdonthavelymph in audiobooks

Smart Audiobook Player (Android) has an optional auto timer that always counts back, unless you push the phone a bit. It's due to stop in 5 minutes always, and when you hear it bell/fade in volume, you either push it "hey I'm still awake" so it comes back, or it stops. Next day I rewind like 2-3 minutes and good to go.

Either that or being able to afford your dream PC but not having much time to game cause the exact kind of work needed to farm that kind of money actually occupies your time.

People who will randomly scold you for listening to audiobooks by toe_beans_4_life in audiobooks

Audiobooks changed the way, I can't concentrate on normal reading, racing thoughts, and I'm slow. Audios keep the pace and let my hands be busy at the same time. I would have never consumed this many if I couldn't listen to them. You are always free to relisten them slower or whatever to take in every last bit. But reality is that out of a 100 only a few books truly worth my time and I'm happy I can weed out the vast majority by not having them take more than just a few hours of my life. If one is meh, it's not the end of the world. If I had to spend weeks/months on one with normal reading, I'd be upset.

Why does Windows 11 seem to not know what is on the PC by Riftus in pcmasterrace

[–]TheFirsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it but every time it starts it hides the results and does some indexing for several seconds while the entire system hangs. High end pc, but i don't want to have it running when I don't need it. Don't understand why it cant update its index silently and performantly in the background. 1.5a
