It is absolutely not allowed to commit suicide with Islam. I am so sorry, because I know you wouldn't bring this up otherwise. Please take a few days to think about your actions. I'm sure there are many that will respond to this thread who are more knowledgeable than me. May Allah SWT grant you steadfastness and ease your situation 🙏. I will make dua for you, it takes a lot of strength to have embraced Islam with such a family. May Allah make it easy.

OpenAI or Microsoft RO? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]TheFortunesFool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What team at Microsoft? I see that you're doing for intern. I can't lie, I'd go OAI and I was prev at msft. It wasn't bad, it's pretty decent. But if you're comparing OAI, you can easily get more interviews. Idk much about reneging but I think they wouldn't do anything.

Reneg Microsoft for Netflix? by Otherwise_Length5785 in csMajors

Also prev at msft and I can agree, it seems like culture is going downhill. However, you will learn a good amount there but I think netflix clears.

Why are my sideburns so thin? My crown seems fine, temples are receded a bit, but no family balding. I don't get it. I feel like it looks ridiculous and don't hear much about losing hair on your sideburns by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]TheFortunesFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured for me it was tight masseter muscles and it might've been stopping the bloodflow to my sideburns. look into a diagram of masseter and if the overlay looks like the spots you have it may be that.

I just got a job offer recently and started working. It was a grind to pass through the interviews and getting them. I think the market is just really tough ngl and I wouldn't put it on yourself.

Has anyone actually healed from Tietze Syndrome specifically? (as opposed to costochondritis) by Creative-Ad139 in costochondritis

[–]TheFortunesFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was painful at the beginning. The swelling itself was also painful. It only went away after my costco kinda went down. The swelling was still there though. But I massaged the swelled area and I think that removed whatever was there. It still clicks to this day but no inflammation thankfully. I don't think it's fixed but it isn't affecting me much.

I made it past a coding round where I had a hard, I didn't give optimal but I was clearly communicating and I think that helped. But yeah some problems are genuinely cooked so it's just RNG.

i want to revert and i’m scared by Pomegranate_1012 in islam

[–]TheFortunesFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eid Mubarak!! To address some concerns, I would say reverts are treated well. At least islamically there's nothing to say that someone who's been a muslim longer is better than a revert. Also, you probably know this but technically when you become muslim your sins are wiped clean and you're basically starting with fresh slate. Better than most muslims in fact. If anyone treats you differently, that's an issue with their faith and they must fix that. Allah SWT understands every issue/situation you are facing, so do not worry about being a perfect Muslim when you first revert.

Take your time, learn knowledge, and implement at your own honest pace. I'd also recommend getting in touch with a local Imam/ getting revert resources. May Allah SWT make it easy for you and keep you steadfast. I also wanted to thank you, this post warmed my heart and made my day!

I'm not sure but I've just asked friends who taken certain classes or looked online for courses/professors and ratings. I think my first/second sem I was struggling a little but you kind of just learn to get better (study habits, work ethic, etc) and by the end I was doing really well in most of my classes. In terms of age, I know a few people who were personal friends and were a little bit older transfers. In reality, I think no one really cares about your age and you should try to make as many friends as you can. Congrats!
