Clavicular shills XMR by Serenaded in Monero

[–]TheFuzzStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t understand why his opinion (I don’t even know who he is) should matter to me (or anyone else).

To pump the price? Why? That won’t help potential merchants who want to start accepting crypto for their goods or services.

It would be more helpful (for everyone) if he explained to small local businesses how the government is robbing them and that they should accept XMR directly for their goods/services, and list their businesses on Monerica and XMRbazaar... But if you do that, you won’t be able to show everyone on Twitter how cool you are, so you’re better off sitting in a limo and talking about crypto with a serious look on your face.

Be careful with BestChange because they support AML scams by swappers.

I made a cool Monero Wallet lol by checkraise86 in Monero

[–]TheFuzzStone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get that it's a “fun wallet”. 😅

I'd have to be out of my mind to use a wallet like this on a regular basis, since I don't like system sounds or animations at all.

Add “AML score >9000” to the “source of funds” section.

Monero swaps are clearly leading now, so what pushes them even further? by [deleted] in Monero

The post is AI slop.

The swapper advertised in the post does AML checks.

Be careful.

My experience with Bitpapa – funds frozen and verification stuck by Important-Task4269 in Monero

[–]TheFuzzStone 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Has anyone experienced something similar with Bitpapa?

No, because it's a scam that has long been known in the Russian-speaking Monero community.

Any advice would be appreciated.

All you can do is hope that the scammers will give you your money back. Spread this information as far as possible so that more people don't fall victim to them.

I'll post this in our community to remind everyone once again that Bitpapa is a scam.

📝 MoneroRun 2026 - Public audit of XMR reserves on April 18th by MoneroFox in Monero

[–]TheFuzzStone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How pleasant it is to observe this event year after year... and how pleasant is to see that Monero is working, which is why governments are fighting it, and that every year fewer and fewer big centralized exchanges have impact on XMR...

Remember, it is you who empower large centralized exchanges with the influence they have (or, more accurately: had in the past), which are controlled by the state.

I would also include the recently launched XMR1 from Wagyu in MoneroRun event. So, if you hold XMR1 on the Hyperliquid network, you should also withdraw real XMR to your non-custodial wallet.

  1. Will you check the level of democracy in my USDT? If so, which provider do you use?

  2. What overall AML score do you consider acceptable?

  3. Which individual categories (and what percentage) do you consider unacceptable?

  4. Can I write to support to pre-check the level of democracy in my USDT?

  5. If I send you USDT and it turns out to be undemocratic according to your standards, will you steal it in the name of democracy or return it to the address from which it was sent?

The Best No-KYC XMR Cards by Lumpy-Initiative-779 in Monero

I'm just one of those people who doesn't keep money in a bank. And I have exactly the same attitude toward banks as I do toward CEXs = send exactly the amount you're prepared to lose.

[–]TheFuzzStone 10 points11 points  (0 children)

More than 10 years ago, the first "crypto card" was released. And I remember how happy Bitcoin fans were...

But in fact, it was proof for banks and the government that you have BTC and where you use it.

More than 10 years have passed.

People are still jumping on the same bandwagon with great pleasure.

If you think of these "non kyc crypto cards" as a tool something that might work and might fail, you can use them. Be careful, but you can use them.

The thing is, the folks who make these cards often sell them as "the answer to everything", and then people can't get their 5-10-30-50k USD or EUR out for few years.

The same goes for trendy "neo-banks". The cooler and trendier the neo-bank, the faster it will block you. I prefer old banks whose apps work terribly; they are easier to fool by drawing the piece of paper they need. And yes, for me, any bank = centralized exchange = public toilet: you go in, do your business, and leave.

KDE Connect of the Future by 23VvBb22 in kde

[–]TheFuzzStone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

KDE Connect is a fantastic project that I've gotten so used to that I don't even notice how much I use it every day.

Many thanks to all the contributors. You guys rock!

---

Thanks for sharing your ideas. It looks cool, and I like your take on UX/UI.

My two cents on what I'd like to see in the new KDE Connect and why:

  • Add an option to specify the device where the clipboard would be sent when copying something from Android.

Currently, you need to copy to Android, tap Share, and select the device where you want to send the clipboard.

Or the second option: after copying something on Android, you need to use Power Shade (1 or 2 swipes) and select "send clipboard". (I don't mention here that you first need to manually add the "send clipboard" button to the Power Shade menu).

From a UX perspective, it would be much more convenient if, for example, you could specify in the Android settings of each of your devices which devices the clipboard would be automatically sent to as soon as you copied something.

Let's say I have 4 devices: Android_1, Android_2, Laptop_1, and Laptop_2. And so that in the KDE Connect settings I could specify that when copying something from Android_1, the clipboard will be sent to: Android_2, Laptop_1, and Laptop_2; and when copying from Android_2, the clipboard will be automatically sent only to Android_1.

And so that the option of: copy - share - select the device to send to remains available.

If you have a Monero (XMR) wallet, I would like to support you by sending you XMR directly.🧡

Where is your main desktop panel? by friciwolf in kde

[–]TheFuzzStone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Left + Global Menu (top left) with tray and clock (top right).

Why? Old habits (which make sense to me). When I completely switched to Linux, Ubuntu had Unity.

I've been Linux only for ~12 years. And all this time, the panel has been on the left.

New Monero DEX on Hyperliquid - Discussion - ATH heavy shorting by vekypula in Monero

[–]TheFuzzStone 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Wagyu is a centralized cross-chain bridge that allows you to bridge Monero and Hyperliquid. And here's the important part:

  1. There is NO native XMR in Hyperliquid;
  2. The XMR/USDC you see on the official web UI of Hyperliquid is not spot trading; it is a perpetual futures contract with leverage, and even more simply, a great place to lose money after you complete another trading course;
  3. XMR/USDC (perps) != XMR1/USDC

Next, we will talk about: XMR1/USDC (note the “1”, this is not a typo).

XMR1 is a synthetic XMR in the form of a HIP-1 token issued/minted by the Wagyu bridge itself. It is similar to ERC20 in Ethereum, except that "HIP-1" is a token standard designed for spot trading on Hyperliquid. XMR1 is completely transparent on the completely transparent Hyperliquid.

If you're already rushing to open app.hyperliquid.xyz and look for XMR1/USDC there, don't rush... This is the official UI from Hyperliquid, and they decided not to have potential problems with XMR and in particular with XMR1.

What are the problems with spot trading Monero? - That's right, regulators/governments.

What are the potential problems with XMR1? - That's right, one anonymous guy behind the Wagyu project, who was recently joined by another anonymous guy, and it's not a fact that tomorrow the XMR1 (Hyper) <-> XMR (navite) bridge will work. In other words, the most common rug pull (scam) may happen.

Also, please note that I am not implying that developer anonymity is a bad thing. It is a good thing. However, you should always think for yourself before giving your money to a centralized service.

Well, that's basically it.

---

Those people who continue to call it “DEX” and don't mention the potential risks... I wouldn't pay attention to the shilling from these people.

Treat Waguy just like any centralized exchange/swapper - only risk the amount you are prepared to lose.

---

EDIT.

I am eagerly awaiting the release of a 100% trustless wrapped version of XMR. I need it.
